Umm, no. I still think Melo is the most overrated and overpaid player in the league. His teams don't win because he's not a team player, and not a defender. I laughed when OKC signed him and am loving them sucking because of him.
 
melo instantly makes every team he's on worse.

you know how to suck as a NBA wing- you are an inefficient shooter/scorer, you can't defend, and you don't make teammates better with your passing/playmaking. carmelo checks all three boxes. other than Cy's scenario, keep him as far away as possible.

Maybe, but I dont like having players on my team that I very much dislike, regardless of whether they help us win. I would not have wanted Jordan to join the Jazz after he beat us 2 years in a row in the finals to help us win one either.

I guess you are the type that does not care about the players just want to win. Thats fine to, just not for me.

There are a bunch of players in the NBA that would help us win more that I dislike and would not want on our team.

You're talking about Lebron like he's this heel or villain. You've yet to elaborate just what it is you find so morally reprehensible. You sound like a weird ****ing piss baby and make 0 sense.

I am not a fan of Malone.

But yes Stockton was an ******* but I liked him.

I dont think Lebron is a vilain. I think he is an *** wipe that I dislike and would not cheer for.

It has nothing to do with morals. I dont like cheering for players I dislike, just like most people.

I dont like Lebron, despite him being the current best player in the NBA. Due to me disliking him, I dont want him on our team despite him making us better.

I am guessing you have players you dislike that you would not like on our team that would make us better. Hayward maybe?

To defend Ron Mexico a bit, and from what I know of his postings, I don’t think he’s making this a moral statement (he’s never given any historical indication of having a moral high horse). He’s basing this on personal bias and doesn’t appear to be defending it as rational. This is sports. At what point is any of the hours we waste on here and invest into this process rational? There’s no deeper meaning here. A cigar is just a cigar.

I'm not dating the ****ing players, and neither are you. Chances are, we'd not like most of them very much if we actually ran into them or knew what they did behind closed doors. And you've yet to elaborate on why you dislike Lebron. For how much you dislike him, it'd better be pretty good, so enlighten me. He HAS a personality? He smiles too much? He used his autonomy to play for a different team at one point and may again?

There's no good reason for me to keep digging here, it is a tremendously dumb waste of time as wastes of time go. He made a kind of moralistic argument and did some high horsing about how he's above caring about basketball if he doesn't like the players, so I'm calling him out because it's infuriatingly dumb.

If he did, I’ve missed that. All I got from it is he doesn’t like LeBron because he doesn’t like him, not because he thinks he’s a real life child abuser or serial rapist.

Some NBA players I have met I liked, some I have not.

I am not sure why you are talking about dating them. But cool story bro?

I dont feel the need to explain why I dont like Lebron, but I dislike him, along with a lot of people.

Im sorry you feel different about whether liking a player or not matters whether you want them on your team, that must be hard for you. Winning isnt everything with me in watching sports.
 
I have been a Jazz fan for decades, rain or shine. There are very few things that could ever change that but one of them might be having Melo on the team.
 
Other than the occasional flop, LeBron plays exactly how I would want my son to play. The guy does everything on the court a basketball player can do. And he does his sport under more scrutiny than any player in the history of sports. The guy has endured the social media era.

Yes, he was his own worst enemy with "the decision", but that only happened because he wanted to use his announcement to raise millions for philanthropy.

If you hate LeBron, its probably because you are a sheep who jumps on media fueled hating bandwagons. And you're probably the same type person who idolizes MJ because the media has forced him down our throats for years as some bigger than the game player.

Think for yourself and appreciate the greatness that is LeBron James.

OR - you may dislike him because he is one of the most self centered, ego centric, whiny/flopping superstars to ever play the game. He is a phenomenal player and probably the most athletic specimen to ever play the game. But he continually positions himself in ways that are a huge turn off and continually acts like he is bigger than the game. There is a reason why there are so many LeBron haters. I do find the philanthropy explanation for the "decision" both fascinating as if that was the motive. I can't believe anyone, even the lovers, buys that explanation.

If that's the case, then why do so many people love Jordan? LBJ got ejected for something MJ did every playoff series. He would yell at refs and get in their faces and not even get a tech. MJ punched teammates in practice. His gambling probably led to his break from the game and not baseball.

Colin Cowherd, who covered MJ in his prime, has said very clearly numerous times that he had to bury stories about MJ. He wasnt able to report.

Dont give me the LBJ is a crybaby or is spoiled routine because he just lives in an era when media actually hates on stars more than hide their flaws. So sure, hate LeBron, but have a valid reason that doesn't apply to almost every star ever.
