I think my voting history indicates that I am pretty much a moderate as my ballots usually are about 60% republican and 40% democrat. I vote for the person, not the party. Since people on this thread want to bring everything back to presidential politics, I didn't like either candidate this time. Why would you decouple this from presidential politics? you don’t see the political rhetoric between he and Trump being related to this shooting?

Who has condoned this violence?

All I’ve seen in this thread are people:

1) calling out the hypocrisy of Repubs staying silent/laughing when perceived political opponents are assassinated or hurt.
2) bringing up Kirk’s (ironic) quotes on gun violence and having to sacrifice children to gun violence in order to perceive rights in America… which is a completely asinine and insensitive remark. No one deserves to be shot. It’s not a necessary sacrifice to preserve right. Why can’t we be a more peaceful country?

I’m sorry folks, but if you want to empathy, , etc then the rhetoric at the top needs to change. Gun violence is wrong. Let’s be clear about that. I just wished our top leaders and influencers felt the same way too

Anyone here go to UVU? It’s been a few years since I studied there. Where was this guy perched? The triangle there isn’t that big. He had to have been on the rooftop on the Sorenson building or Science Building.
