Clippers offering Bledsoe, Butler to Celtics for Garnett

Rather have Odom than Butler. Even if Odom quits on you, it is only for 40 games. Getting Butler would hurt the Jazz cap too much and they would have 2 mediocre SFs on the roster next year (assuming Marvin re-ups), who Corbin would play over Hayward and Burks.

I don't have the time to wade through all 11 pages of this thread, so someone might have already brought this up, so apologies if this is redundant.

I used to be high on Bledsoe, but he has not been all the impressive running the point in Chris Paul's absence. Not only are his stats so-so, but the Clips are in the midst of a losing funk. I'm leaning now toward the opinion that Bledsoe is overrated, a bit of a tease in limited minutes, but full starter's minutes have begun to reveal his shortcomings.

and the Celtics won, again, without Rondo.

I guess we cab deduce that both Rondo and Bledsoe suck. Also, CP3 sucked when in NO.

Cute but Rondo's proven he can run a team and be a great facilitator, and Paul nearly took that NO team to the conference finals. Bledsoe's done neither. Even remotely done either.

I get the logic, but I think Bledsoe has done remarkably well stepping in for Paul. Do you disagree? Also, NO ONE here has proposed a trade for Bledsoe that would net us Chris Paul, so no one is saying they're a good comp.

And once again, the Clips lost with him as their starting pg.
Idiotic. The Clips outscored the Celtics by 14 in the 38 minutes he was on the court. In the 10 minutes he was on the bench, the Clips were outscored by 16. Not sure how you can pin this loss on him. What's your reasoning?

Paul nearly took that NO team to the conference finals.
Paul won a single playoff series while in New Orleans. The Hornets missed the playoffs 3 of the 6 seasons Paul was there.

****, dude, a little intellectual integrity would be nice.

You said CP3 sucked when he was in NO. He didn't.

And remarkably well? No, far from it. Unless you consider 2-5 in seven games versus just two teams who currently sit in the playoffs and 5.71 apg and 37.7% from the floor remarkable. Then, sure.

No, I didn't say CP3 sucked while in NO. I implied that his record, according to your logic, was an indicator he wasn't a good PG .. it was sarcasm.

You're using Bledsoe as an example of being no good because of the Clips going 2 - 5 with Paul out. Two questions;

1) Have you seen his stats, including +/-?
2) When Paul is healthy, he starts and is backed up by Bledsoe .. when Paul is out, Bledsoe plays and is backed up by .. whoever. (Do you get this?)

Your first point is very fair. And looking back at his numbers, they're +/- is positive when he's been on the floor in those seven games.

Paul however had mediocre talent at best while in NO and did quite well with it. Hell, they were one game from going to the conference finals had it not been for the Spurs the one year.

That's a different argument than the one you made initially.

Also, Tyson Chandler-David West-MoPete-Peja-Chris Paul was far from mediocre. Pretty damn solid.

His record was solid in NO despite mediocre talent. Bledsoe has much more talent in LA and has been 2-5.

Admittedly, I've been a little overly harsh on him.

Wait. Is this about Bledsoe sucking or Paul being great? I'll admit to the latter, but somehow I think the topic has changed.

Unless I'm mistaken, this all started from you saying Bledsoe is a stupid head because of the Clips record.
