It’s getting to the point where this feels like another school shooting. We a know it’s bad and it was something preventable. But our leadership is too stubborn to admit a mistake and take the measures necessary, as other countries are doing, to fix it.

We all know that our testing and tracing must improve. But saying so means that Trump’s ban wasn’t sufficient and that the last three months have been wasted. It also means more economic bad news and more stimulus spending for workers to keep us afloat until the treating tracing ramps up or until a vaccine is developed.

until then, countless preventable deaths will occur.
