Get well fish! Go to the doctor if you can!My wife and I have been sick for like 10 days. I thought we were pretty much better but tonight is the worst night yet. Can't stop coughing. Took cough medicine and have a cough drop in my mouth right now and just can't stop coughing. Can't sleep.

Our company is respecting that choice. Of course we are close to a few outbreak sites, being in Fontana CA. We can't pay people who choose not to come to work, but temporarily we have basically suspended our attendance policy, on a case by case basis. If course the income piece is the toughest part to resolve although we have a couple of people who have opted to use PTO to cover some time off. We are working on a plan to keep paying people, even if it is a partial check, should we end up in a quarantine situation, which I fully expect to happen at some point in all this.Hourly workers literally can't stay isolated. We have to go to work. I can't call in and say "Hey, just trying to be responsible so I'm going to stay home for the next couple weeks. See you sometime in April..." I just can't
And as for not going out. The people at the pub work for tips. I'm not doing them any favors by staying home. They need to pay their bills just as much as I do.
Economic pressure is going to spread this because most of us don't have the option to just isolate unless we also want to starve to death.
I would totally stay home if I wouldn't get fired for staying home. But I would get fired so I will go to workI agree about going out. You should try to help business out if you are not sick but also being smart and aware.
As far as not being able to as hourly employees I get that. If you literally can't because of finances then try to get help. But you might have to make some sacrifices if you can. Use your vacation days, forgo another expense if you can. Start a go fund me.
This is all true.Fish doesn't have to sell his truck to go to a doctor. It's more that going to a doctor is a ****ing waste. They don't investigate. They aren't going to give him a COVID19 test. They take 5min then give you ******** over the counter treatments and meaningless prescription cough suppressants. If they are 30% or more thinking it might be some random bacteria that they aren't going to nail down in any way at all they'll just give you a prescription for antibiotics.
Fish brings a gallon of water with him to work. He drinks water like a, uhm, well, a fish.
I don't think he's avoiding going to the doctor because it will cause him to go into bankruptcy, but because they are a complete waste of money 99% of the time.
I would stay home if I could. I would even have no problem using my pto. But my job would fire me.Okay. So if he does have it, better off staying home, right?
How do you know how many people are sick in each country? Are you testing everyone on your time off?So far .000001% of the population is unfortunately sick in the US.
