Win or tank?

If spending $1000 on lottery tickets got you a 14% chance at a $500 million pot, you wouldn't do it because the odds are "low"?
I'm just a fan. I don't get to choose whether or not I spend $1,000 on a lottery ticket.

What I do get to choose is whether or not I enjoy this season.

One glance from an attractive co-worker and half of y’all wanna wreck the family and lose the house over it.
No kidding. I have never seen such a crazy reaction to one game. It will be interesting to see the reaction if we go out and lose by 30 to minny in the next game.

Smoothed out lottery odds make tanking a lot less worth it.
Actually they make it alot more worth it. Now you don't have to out tank everyone to get the best chance at #1. You just need to tank into that bottom 4.

Remember the Wizards last season. They started the season on fire and then were truly awful by the end of the season. There's still hope.
And it got them, what, the 9th pick? Make no mistake, to have exceptionally high odds, you have to have an exceptionally bad record, and that takes consistency. If the Jazz are .500 halfway through the season, they will have to tank their absolute asses off to get in proper position.

All this talk about culture that we've heard over the past few weeks doesn't make any sense to me. How many guys currently on the roster are still going to be here when we're a playoff team again? Maybe 2 or 3? There is going to be so much roster turnover over the next couple of years that the culture is going to change from season to season. You get a whole new group of guys in here with different personalities and backgrounds, and it's going to create a completely different locker room dynamic.

The time to worry about culture is after we get some high-end talent on the roster and start to build a core of players that are going to be here long term.

lmao.

I remain a fan of trading away Conley, Clarkson, and Gay. They don't belong on this team. If the rest of the guys figure it out and we do better than anticipated, then so be it.

But at this point we can get a *lot* from those three. I know those Lakers are heading into desperation zone, especially with Schroeder out. Time to swipe those picks.

Also happy that we didn't give Vanderbilt to the Suns -- **** the Suns.

Walker was a late 20's pick. We have a number of draft picks in the coming years, so we can build a solid squad with our cap space, draft picks and trades. This team has a lot of depth, and high energy players. Sexton and Beasley coming off the bench is something a lot of teams may not have an answer for. Both guys could easily start on any other team. Kessler probably could too.
