You have heard literally thousands of positive things about him. He was here for 6 years and received nothing but positive press, and positive comments from coaches and teammates, until the day Jerry Sloan retired.

If you want to believe he's a bad human being, nobody can stop you. Remember things however inaccurately you like.
 
I think D-Will has gotten his fair share of humble pie at this point. I don't feel bad for him though because he makes a **** ton of money.

The one thing that D-Will has done that fans should appreciate is that he likes living here. His family likes living here. That is a good thing. He also never really talked smack about the team or market.

He brought some good times and his ego did get too big. He was prickly, but I think he has had to swallow his pride. He'd prolly love to come back, but it couldn't happen at his current pay grade (and play tbh).

I'm sure he's a fine human. But I think it would be tough to argue that at that point in his career he was not a very good team mate and was not coachable.

Is it believable that the clashes with D Will are what caused Sloan to retire? Sure. But having coached as long as he had, Jerry could have quit at any point. As for the suspension aspect of the story, I suspect that Jerry and management are probably the only ones who know the level of truthiness to it.
 
It was disappointing to watch him play the game without any intensity last night. I loved watching D-Will when he played for the Jazz. I'm curious what his next contract is going to look like...
