I consider myself an Exum hater. I would way rather have him reach his potential than see him gone. Pretty sure we all would. I just don't think he will reach his potential so I would like to see him gone. When a majority of the fan base would rather see him gone than hope he reaches very unique potential, I consider that hate.
We've wasted more money on Thabo/Udoh than Exum and neither of those guys have any potential. Some of y'all treat Exum like he is the $8 million a year the Lakers spend on stretched, gone Deng. Exum has helped us win games this year. Yes, it sucks he is hurt, but he will help when he gets back. And if we want to do something special, we need him.

I don't think it's the majority of the fan base who want him gone. The one's who do are really vocal about it, but I think in general most want him here, but playing. I still believe he will be a good player IF he can stay on the floor. Being involved in so many unfortunate events that have taken him out, whether his fault or others, makes it extremely hard to believe he will stay healthy. When a majority of the fan base would rather see him gone than hope he reaches very unique potential, I consider that hate.

I think we're seeing exactly what kind of player he is, like all the woulda shoulda coulda players before him he's a player who couldn't stay healthy long enough to reach what people speculated he could do. AA very poor man's Grant Hill.Jokes aside, it really is crazy that we are going into yet another offseason and will still have no idea what kind of player Exum is or can be.
Summed up nicely.I consider myself an Exum hater. I would way rather have him reach his potential than see him gone. Pretty sure we all would. I just don't think he will reach his potential so I would like to see him gone.

A very poor man's Grant Hill.
I would concede that he’s a poor man’s 2003-2004 Grant Hill.A homeless man in the Siberian tundra with no survival skills’ Grant Hill.
I'm not an Exum hater, but I'm getting there... I just want to point out the "almost zero" is better than zero. And let me add something more - once we re-signed Favors, we couldn't spend money on anything else. We were capped out. So really, paying Exum hasn't effected the bottom line for 2018-19 at all. So if you are going to get mad at Exum, get even madder at Thabo and Udoh who make roughly the same amount and provide almost zero.

Exum, even with the injuries, has provided more than Udoh and Thabo. Exum makes $9.6 and Thabo/Udoh make around $9.I'm not an Exum hater, but I'm getting there... I just want to point out the "almost zero" is better than zero.
Oh, you mean players that are better than Exum? And aren’t under contract for two more seasons (in cap space years)? You failed spectacularly to make your point.Do you realize that Thabo and Udoh have combined to make more money than Exum the last two years?

I dare you to prove that.Exum, even with the injuries, has provided more than Udoh and Thabo.

Point blank, Dante Exum has been a ****** basketball player. Paying him north of the MLE is an embarrassment at best.
Anyone: name me a player that has done less to earn as much or more than Dante Exum.
The apex of his career was not getting called for fouls against Harden in a 5-game series. He’s a good one-on-one defender, can we consider his history of blowing rotations and losing his guy off the ball?He has been injured. So missing games hurt him. But he has always been a very good defender when healthy. Defense is half the game. His offense is just flashes. Although he was starting to get consistent on offense right before the injuries.
His contract is easily tradeable and was a great option at the time. I wish they had got the 4th year on there as a team option.
Exum, despite the injuries, has still played over 100 more minutes than Thabo and Udoh combined. Stop saying dumb stuff.Oh, you mean players that are better than Exum? And aren’t under contract for two more seasons (in cap space years)? You failed spectacularly to make your point.
Oh hell yes. My favorite like of the month.
This might be a tad harsh. The apex of his career was not getting called for fouls against Harden in a 5-game series. He’s a good one-on-one defender, can we consider his history of blowing rotations and losing his guy off the ball?
That is really beside the point anyway: I’m not paying anyone as bad at offense (let alone as injury prone) to play strictly perimeter defense unless they are some sort of god at that. Exum isn’t.
And how is Rxum’s injury history in any way a benefit? We had four years of data on this.
