Didn't even realize Whiteside had 14/10 in just 15 minutes. That production is crazy. Jazz C's simply dominated tonight.

That is why Embiid became "injured." For bad mouthing Rudy, he sure turns up hurt a lot when it is time to play him.

On the bright side, he still has gravity. people will still follow him all over the court to contest his shot, sometimes they bring a friend.

Ya my issue is simply that he is soooo good around the basket and he isn't using that amazing part of his game. And he is just a decent 3 point shooter. If we were talking about kyle korver or something then what jordan clarkson is doing would be fantastic.
You are right that he isn't being left open though. I just have higher expectations for clarkson than guys dont leave him open.

Clarkson is shooting 50% from 2. Thats pretty darn great!
30% from 3. Thats not very great.
83% from the line. Thats pretty great! Less than 2 attempts per game. Not very great.

Whiteside has a crazy ability/luck to be in the right place at the right time. Feels like all year loose balls just kind of end up right in his hands.

I think teams are game planning around taking away his inside game a lot more than they did last year. He draws a lot more doubles and passing inside out is still a weaker part of his game. When he gets that heavy cover inside and then finds the open guy on the perimeter, that guy is usually WIDE open. Clarkson needs to improve that part of his game or teams will shut him down hard when he adventures inside.

Ya and last year he was 53% from 2 and 34% from three. He took less threes last year and more twos (and more free throws) and won 6th man of the year and averaged quite a bit more points last year. He should try to play like he did when he had a career year imo.

I dont see him even attempting to go inside. Ball touches hand, 3 point shot goes up.

We did fantastic these last couple nights containing the all-star bigs. Seemed like we helped / doubled at exactly the right times and either forced a tough shot or when KAT or Embiid passed we recovered nicely.
