Bogey played tough defense and had some tough rebounds. I'll probably never say those words again but it happened.

I'm guilty of getting on Bogey for his empty box scores (other than shooting) last year. I think we'll soon see how much his bad wrist was a factor.

On the shooting side, one thing that is glaring is how mediocre Bogey was from 2pt range last year (47%). That is significantly below his career averages. Strange to say it but we could be seeing quite bounce back year from Bogey.

Not only does he have the greenest light ever, he's playing on a second team where he doesn't have to fight anyone else for shots. Could be the reason he re-uped right away.

seems like most everyone played well. Even the 2 way guys. I think Morgan should play before Niang. Morgan rebounds and plays defense. He may not be the shooter Niang is but he isn't that far off considering how much better of a defender and rebounder he is than Niang. i think the jazz chose Udoka is they believed he was the best player and you always chose the best player regardless of position. When you choose for need like Trey Burke you get burned. I also think they realized to compete against the Lakers they are going to need more size. Favors and Udoka allow the Jazz to compete better with teams like the Lakers. i know it is one preseason game but i think this team has a lot of depth and interchangeable pieces. i think it is going to be a fun year watching how the roles are defined and who is ready to step up.

I was a little surprised Udoka didn't get called on some possible fouls last night. He's not afraid to knock people around. I think the Suns recognized it and were a little afraid of him.

The crazy thing about Shaq is that he started out a MUCH better free thrower than he was through much of his mid career. It shows it was something he never worked on for years. Doke will not have that luxury. . .

Most people can improve their FT shooting. Gobert wasn't great to start off with, and no looks decent.

Mailman was a career .750 FT shooter. His rookie year he shot below 50%.
