And with any luck he could have edged out Hughes for his spot. Maybe.
Hughes is gone. So is Oni. Herb Jones will be the third or even second SF on our depth chart. We have a clear need at the 3/4 position, unlike the PG spot or our backcourt in general.

Yes, we all may see it that way. The problem is that us seeing it that way doesn’t correlate that strongly with those (or he) who has say, seeing it that way.

I believe Herb wasn’t even starting on their summer league team. Dudes need opportunity in real games to prove their value. Especially dudes like Herb.

I said earlier I don't think Jones would see much opportunities this season either had we drafted him. Simply because we have too many guys whose whole offensive game are based purely on spacing. But once these guys phase out and emphasis is not on spacing any more, we are better set up for the future with Herb Jones in the lineup with Rudy.

You will need a new coach for that to happen.

Missing on pick #30 isn't something to get bothered at. It's a total crapshoot. Seeing the defense get slaughtered two times in a row and throwing 35 year old Rudy Gay at that issue is a much worse crime.

Nah... remember 2018, we had Briky Ricky, Crowder and Favs in the same lineup. Herb Jones would've seen plenty of opportunities then...... Quin certainly isn't afraid of throwing non-shooters on the floor. He just needs that extra shooting to maximize Bogey/Conley/Royce. He's working with what he has.

I’m not sure we do honestly. Even if we do, we’d get suckered in the second round by PHX, GSW or MEM.
