Does Biyombo=Evans?

It might just be me but all these scouts are drooling over Biyombo. But I believe we already have a guy like this in Evans. Biyombo looks stronger but Evans is probably more polished on the offensive side which isnt saying much.

I think Evans should be our project player and keep him. Because if the Jazz select Biyombo its probably bye bye Evans. There just too similar of players.

Also I believe Biyombo = Sene.

Wow, no way. I really dont understand the Evans love. Sure he is a great dunker, a guy who can jump really high. Thats all he will ever be in the NBA, Im sorry to disappoint y'all. He is 22, his body isnt going to gain that much more weight. Biyombo is an 18 year old man who get bigger and better.

Maybe wider but probably not taller which is his weakness.

He's 24, dude. Plus he can't jump all that high, he just has an amazing reach and long arms.

The Biyombo-Sene comparison has been discussed multiple times in the NBA Draft thread. I suggest you read there so we don't have to repeat it again.

And the Biyombo and Evans comparison is just.....wow. Ya know, other than the fact that Biyombo is 243 pounds with 5% body fat, and has played well against professionals at the age of 18....yeah they're similar. Evans is maybe 210 lbs and that's being generous. He plays a finesse game. Biyombo plays with strength. Evans has played 4 years of college basketball and still barely has an offensive game. Biyombo is 18 and actually looks like he will be able to develop a half-way decent post game. Do they both block shots? Yes. Are they both athletic? Yes. Are they similar players? Absolutely not.

Biyombo = Sene = Thabeet = Okafur = Whiteside= desperate NBA teams reaching for the ellusive athletic big man to lead you to the promised land.

Every time I read one of your posts, I realize more and more that your avatar is probably your most recent DMV picture.

Byiombo's agent had his age checked by wrist exams (standard procedure with several soccer players from Africa) in Spain and his growth plates weren't fused yet. They lock together at the age of 18 (approximatelly). So the kid seems to be legit with his age. And he has a 7'7'' wingspan and a 9'3'' standing reach. For all the talk about Sene and those guys...well none of them did what Byiombo is already doing in Spain.

I heard Horny say on the radio that Evans is a very good shooter and beats Hayward in many three-point contest. I think his real position is at SF. I think he can gain weight/strength and he could be a good bench player...as long as Portland doesn't offer him 5 years 85 million dollars.
