Fine points, but if Collins shoots there like he is here right now then I see no issue and actually think it’s a great fit. They could really use some more athleticism/rim pressure beyond Giannis.

And @Handlogten's Heros , Bucks get more 2nds, at least.

They ain't playing Collins-Giannis-Brook together. Collins would be a nice upgrade as their 3rd big....but not at the cost of Middleton and their 31 first. Nope.

So they're trading Middleton and 31 first to upgrade on what Portis gave them? Better to just hope Middleton can get healthy.
Yeah, the value doenst match the price, so you are right it doesnt make sense, but I think he would be a great fit with Giannis/Lopez.

What would even be the reason for keeping Collins, lol.

Markkanen is way too slow to play SF so we'd be giving a lot of money to three big men who can't really pass or dribble.

Kessler is basically guaranteed to get a five year, $125m to $150m deal.

Markkanen is on a max.

We're trying to lose for the next several years.

???

Also, if you still believe in Taylor Hendricks, he is yet another big man who cannot dribble or pass.

We can't really trade Markkanen or Hendricks either as their trade value is at rock bottom currently.

In the deal I proposed they get Sasser/Tech... if Tech regains his form he gives them a wing to use. They also get the Toronto second rounder for budget purposes. We can add some additional seconds.

They get off of so much money this year though. We are talking like $70M just this year with tax and Salary. That 2031 is really valuable but its their last piece and Giannis out here calling Middleton a turtle. There might be a better couple players to reroute to Milwaukee but I think there are outlines of something that could work.

I also think Giannis/Collins/Lopez can play together for a few minutes and it will be fine.

They might do way better but the whole deal has to be considered. The money is one thing the fact that their flexibility is nerfed right now is another thing to factor in.

He is, just not a luxury they can afford/make work with the cap. If they found themselves convinced that the best way to beat the other East contenders is to go smaller you could maybe see putting Brook into the deal and getting younger for the future, but I feel like they really need him.

But they won't be giving Middleton and an amazing pick just to upgrade their 3rd big situation. Can't imagine they would move all in just to improve backup big. 2031 is their last chip, they would at least go for someone who isn't penciled into being a backup. Sexton and Collins are good players, but if you can't play them with your best players there's not much of a point.

Becaues he's been really good this year and it's good to have good players. You get Flagg and you can start winning games right away. You cant really think about Hendricks too much given he had a devastating injury.
