And you just have to game it out a bit. If GS does the trade anyway now Lauri is on their team. He will play and will want to play at a high level so he can get paid. As the team with his bird rights they have a bit more they can offer and also have Steph for a while so its a situation they can have some confidence in. It will be a deterrent to some and a no fly zone to others... but doesn't mean a team like GS wouldn't get irrational and see this as the last train home and do what they can to get on it. The other options are like Kyle Kuzma, Jerami Grant, Cam Johnson, or status quo.. at least right now.
There's hundreds of pages in this thread talking about this astronomical asking price for Lauri. OK, well you can't have it both ways and convince me that we will get that package without Lauri assurances. Like I said, if what Tony is saying is true, there is no trade. Lauri's stance will have to change or UTA's asking price will have to change.
