Excited for Hayward

My bad, forgot the last one didn't have him on it.

wrong. And, how did you not catch this PKM?!? Maker's Mark again? haha

Also, of course I wasn't avidly watching the Verizon League (or whatever). And, even if I watched every second of his ONLY run through the tournament, I'd still claim that I didn't know much about him.... because that would be true.

Polished off .. but, yeah .. good catch!

I think it's safe to say KOC got it right, have to admit at the time I never even saw Hayward going in the lotto. I was hoping that somehow Monroe whould fall to us when that fell through I wanted Davis. Thank god I'm not KOC:)

I didn't want Hayward or George (primarily level of competition). I wanted Xavier.

/manhood

Same here Xavier was who I wanted most, didn't like any of the big men (Davis or the Kansas kid that OKC took) that was left and the person I wanted least was Babbit (think that was the kid from NV) and wasn't all that high on George or Hayward but wanted George 2nd most after Xavier from who was available.

Im man enough to admit when im wrong... even if i look incredibly stupid in the process.

I thought we had to draft a big guy since we had no boozer and no jefferson at the time... I hated aldrich, and i knew monroe would be gone so I wanted...... Hassan(?) Whiteside.
Thank god i am not in KOC position.

At least last year we took both guys i would have picked and i was more excited about getting burks than any draft before (including the d-will draft. I wanted paul at the time). I thought burks would be gone by 8th pick and thought he was a top 5 talent.

Despite a lot of the flak that KOC takes, I would say that he and his staff have a good eye for talent and potential. Sure you get a few busts and head cases, but it would be interesting to see how he matches up with his peers over the course of his career.

I think he is clearly a good GM. Look how fast he has rebuilt the Jazz various times. He can clearly keep us competitive year in and year out. The question that remains (and so far has been a resounding no) is can he take the Jazz from contender to champion.
