Favors needs more minutes

Big Al talk a little about Favors. He compares him to Kevin Love as a rookie.

Watching this kid grow is gonna be fun.

edit - Coach Corbin talks about him too.

Al's an idiot.

Kevin Love had a ton of skills coming in not to mention range out to the 3 pt line. He's like a smaller Memo with wheels.

Favors has a lot of raw athletic talent but a very unrefined offensive game. A lighter Dwight Howard.

I honestly can't think of two more different players.

Spud Webb and Shaq?

Michael Jordan and Adam Keefe?

John Stockton and Martin Muursepp?

Sundiate Gaines and Wilt Chamberlain?

You really can't think of any 2 more different players?

Interesting take. I'll be interested to hear what you think after you've listened to it.

With all due respect, Al's spent extensive time practicing and playing with both of these players, certainly a lot more than we have. And if you listen to the interview its clear he's referring to his nose for the ball style of rebounding, how they both "track" the ball and etc.

This. I think his observations are exciting, considering Love is a rebounding monster.

for the record, this would be the very first time that O Gatino was misled by his propensity for over-reaction. So, I'm sticking with the Gat.... proven track record. no doubt.

I haven't listened to it yet but I agree with those after Thriller that listened to it, in that I know I heard some interviews with someone on Minni's coaching staff saying the way they both track the ball they're similar so the potential for him to rebound like Love is there.

Keep playing Favors he is our future. Milsap is the perfect second team guy. I say start Favors/AJ for the rest of the season. That gives us Milsap off the bench.
