Following potential 2013 draftees

Jamal Franklin could rise pretty soon now that he's starting workouts... If he can make those 3's, I wouldn't mind him at #21.

Dan (San Diego)

Any word on Jamal Franklin? Is he working out? If so, how is he doing? Where does he get drafted?

Chad Ford (1:24 PM)

Yes. He worked out for the Knicks and Nets. Heard he had a great workout in NY ... made his first 28 shots which is pretty special. He's been working a lot on that jumper. If he can convince teams he can shoot the basketball? He's going to move up. To me he's a smaller version of Kawhi Leonard.

Those things have NOTHING to do with potential
how about his excellent length, elite speed and quickness, hesitation and handle, and the fact that he's only 19
You should only talk about things you know about. How do those things not affect his potential. How does having quickness help if he's so weak he can't finish at the rim. How is he going to blow by his man if he has doesn't have a left hand. His pick'n roll play won't be as good if he can't shoot off the dribble. He's a second round pg at best in my opinion.

El Presidente Rigby on 1280:

'We were recently discussing the offseason plans with the Millers, and Dennis said if this particular move does not turn out well for us I should probably take the hit for it. Gail (aka Mama) immediatley said, No, we make this decision together and we'll all take the hit."

I didn't take that to mean they were going to go out on a limb and draft Larkin at 14. Something bigger in the works. The intrigue is killing me. I can't wait for June 27th.

Also announced Draft Party at the ESA.

Haven't listened to the interview, but I hope this means "tank mode".

Does Giannis Antetokounmpo consider himself a point guard? Here are some tidbits from Fran Frachilla's interview with him:

Fraschilla: How did you learn to handle the ball so well?

Antetokounmpo: I grew up working as a point guard and thinking as a point guard. I get to the gym almost an hour before practice every day just to work on my ballhandling skills. The size of my palms also really helps me control the ball. Also, I wasn't so tall from a young age, so I was always playing the point guard position.

Fraschilla: Describe your strengths as a player.

Antetokounmpo: I believe some of my biggest strengths are my court vision, my ability to run the break from five different positions on the court and also that I'm able to get to the basket. Because of my size and ability to see the floor, I can find my teammates for easy baskets but can also use mismatches on the court to my favor.

Fraschilla: Who is your favorite NBA player?

Antetokounmpo: A mix of Kevin Durant and LeBron James, because they can help their team in multiple ways, not just by scoring. I like players who are able to do a lot of things on the court. I have also watched many clips of Magic Johnson as well, an amazing player who did great things as a big-size point guard.

Ya, he also raved about how good of a coach Corbin is. The same the guy who doesn't have a single last second shot play. So...

I still think a good move for the Jazz would be to trade with Dallas for #13, trade 14 + 21 for #9, and come away with the #9 and #13 picks in the draft. That would get us a decent PG and another starting-caliber player.

If the Jazz are looking at a bigger move than that, I would assume they'd trade a player + #14 to get a top 5 or 6 pick. Maybe that gets us Otto Porter or Trey Burke.

As unpopular as this might be, I don't think Favors is entirely untouchable. The Jazz might be considering sending him to Cleveland for the #1 pick (Noel).
