Following potential 2013 draftees

Haven't done one of these in a while so here is my lottery mock:

1. Cavs - Nerlens Noel
2. Magic - Victor Oladipo
3. Wizards - Anthony Bennett
4. Bobcats - Ben McLemore
5. Suns - Otto Porter
6. Pelicans - Alex Len
7. Kings - Michael Carter-Williams
8. Pistons - Trey Burke
9. Timberwolves - Shabazz Muhammad
10. Trail Blazers - CJ McCollum
11. 76ers - Steven Adams
12. Thunder - Cody Zeller
13. Mavericks - Dennis Schroeder
14. Jazz - Shane Larkin

Let me guess, Oladipo and Larkin are too high and Porter is too low?

Porter and KCP jumped out at me as too high. That's all I got.
https://espn.go.com/nba/draft2013/s...a-draft-agent-says-dario-saric-withdraw-draft

Saric is apparently out. And I doubt Schroder goes that high. I don't think McCollum will be there at #14. But the top of the draft is so uncertain. PKM is probably right about Porter, but who knows? The Cavs and Magic have been linked to several players. Doesn't appear either will have much luck trading out of those picks. There just isn't enough value at the top to give them anyone of substance in return.

the cavs are known recently for taking players they like early. ie Tristan thompson and dion waiters. I think they want porter unless they can switch places with Washington they will pick him #1.

I don't see minny taking McCollum because of his size and kcp is a perfect fit on that team. the way they are built makes him the better option then bazz. I think that alone is the reason the jazz trade with them. they can move down some get a couple more assests or picks.

I am going off of my perceived team needs, who I would pick and current rumors.

as far as McCollum is concerned I think teams that need 2 guards are going to shy away from a 6-3 with average measurements.

mccollum's best chance in the nba is as a pg. I don't think he can guard nba 2s. you can't play him next to Rubio and playing lillard would have to guard the other teams 2 doesn't make sense.

philly could take him but they desperately need bigs.

okc I think would take him but the need a big more then they need scoring off the bench. this is another reason I think swapping pick with okc is important.

Dallas could also take him as he is ready to play now but I think Dallas picks a stash player for salary cap reasons.

Wow, that's depressing. Here's my lotto mock.

1 Cavs - trying to trade the pick for an established big; can't see who they'd get; think they'll still take Noel
2 Magic - I think they'd be open to a trade too, but otherwise McLemore is by and large the next pick
3 Wizards - I have no idea, but I'll say Len goes here.
4 Bobcats - I think they'd happily take Oladipo
5 Suns - I hear they like McCollum, but I don't want them to take McCollum, so I'll say Anthony Bennett.
6 NOLA - happily takes Otto Porter.
7 Sacto likes Carter-Williams and Shabazz and can't afford to trade down here. I'll say they take Carter-Williams.
8 Detroit may try to trade this pick, but if they keep it, I think they'll take Zeller. Why? Because I just saw this article.... https://www.news-herald.com/articles/2013/06/16/sports/nh7117202.txt?viewmode=fullstory
9 Minnesota wants a big SG. Shabazz seems like that guy, but Pope is a better shooter so I think they'll take Caldwell-Pope.
10 Portlandia gladly takes Shabazz of the Clan Muhammad.
11 Philadelphia takes Steven Adams with open arms.
12. OKC says 'drat' we wanted Adams, and they'll try to trade the pick....giving Utah McCollum and #32 for #14 and #21.
13. Dallas takes Gobert or Karasev and plans on keeping him overseas.
14. Utah drafts Franklin or Giannis for OKC and sits out the rest of the first round.

Uhh, so Burke fell outta the lotto? I like cj for the jazz though.
