Maybe the player doesn't want to go to a bad team. Yes they lose some money short term but long term if they are on a contender they can recoup that money in advertising/shoe contract and a big second contract (due to having more success). I rather make a little less money and play for a team like LA/SA then have the Bobcats draft me and get my brains beaten in every year.
Besides, the fact that the fans would blame the high pick draftee if the team didn't improve. I am not say this is a major consideration why guys wait another year but this might be a small part of it. Another factor is the player feels they are not ready yet which is probably a better reason why they wait another year.
Not bad. Obvi Larkin is too high, tho.
I'd say no chance Jazz move up for Bazz.. but want to be prepared in case he's there at 14. Just my guess.

They also worked out CJ and Zeller. Both are expected to be picked before the jazz's first pick. Did I miss anyone?

Just the fact that he worked out for us shows me his people realize he may slip. If he slips to 14, and we pick up Schroeder or Larkin @ 21 I think

I'm sorry for saying it .. but this article is saying the same thing I've been telling so many on here for a year now (looking at you more than anyone, Numb).
No, the article doesn't make it true.. but it kills me that some people take one little clip, or one little negative article and put so much stock into it.
I've watched the kid play (live) for years.. and I know what he is. This whole 'attitude problem' thing was completely unfair.
I may be guilty of over-compensating, but my mock I put in here a couple weeks ago had him at 3.. just to show my faith the naysayers are wrong. (And I'm talking about a kid that chose UCLA over Kentucky, lol)

About Saric and foreign players hoping to go lower.
I forgot that a 2nd round pick is not bound to the NBA rookie contract scale. They can sign any contract. Another advantage the Euros have over the NCAA kids is that they can declare, and then basically hide only contacting teams they want to play for (Spurs).

Logic is if Marko Todorovic and Alex Abrines go in the second round or undrafted they can negotiate any contract they want with a NBA team.

With not much separation between the different players, I'm guessing the lottery will follow position of need a lot more closely than the traditional "BPA." When players are so close in terms of ranking, I think GM's would naturally look at need as the tie-breaker.
