What's new

Following potential 2013 draftees

More Archie Goodwin.... I would take him at #14, now that Austin is out and Giannis is looking like a project. This is young DWade talent here.

I'm seriously with you on this. Archie has legit talent and a motor tomsucceed. Pproblem I have is that he seems a bit a duplicate of alec to me.

I think he's better than Alec Burks. He makes Alec Burks look slow and complacent. You just can't pass up this level of talent and feel. He's on par with Wade, Harden, Westbrook, Sprewell....

Whatever his issues were, so what. I think he's now underrated.

I like him over Jeremy Lamb and Terrence Ross.

No one here knows Archie better than I do and I agree with this. He showed plenty of youth.. but UNREAL speed, athleticism, and killer.

So that is why he led UK, who has one of the best coaches in the NCAA, who also had some of the top ranked recruits, to a 1st round NIT loss to Robert Morris?

UK was not a complete team. Not enough scoring up front, not enough outside shooting, weak PG play.

What Archie has translates to the NBA. He's going to make plays. He can create his own shot and hit it. He can move the ball. The Jazz need a player like that. With Burke and McCollum off the board, I think you have to look at Archie. Get a PG at #21.

Poor man's Scotty Hopson.

I have no doubt that Archie will be able to "get his" in the NBA, I do have doubts as to whether he'll ever play a critical role on a winning team.

I think we need a guy like this. We've got Favors who is a defensive guy and passive on offense. Hayward is a set up guy and 3rd-option shooter. Burks is a decent combo, but not a go-to player right now.

I'm picturing Archie and Kanter playing together, and it's working for me. Move Hayward to the SF, play Burks and Archie in the backcourt and let the three of them take turns initiating. I think Schroeder is a reach at #14 unless he's stellar in workouts.
