Hardly a difference at all. That being said, making the playoffs generates a few dollars for the Millers, but little else as we could very well get swept.

Making the playoffs also ups the ante that Corbin comes back.

Making the playoffs ups the chances that Corbin is here for at least a decade.

I really like CJ at 17 .. I also like Withey at 21. Tbh, I'd trade both picks to be assured of McCollum.. so of course I like it.

I'd have to lean against giving both for McCollum, particularly because we may be in position to get Harrison or Hill next year, to each their own.

no hard-on but he is a good fit. I think at 14 there is a lot better chance to get him then 17 and I want corbin gone.

Who picks at 15 and 16? Milwaukee? Boston? If that's the case then maybe McCollum will still be there at 17. Does Milwaukee need another scoring PG? Does Boston? (I dunno what the situation is with Rondo but they also have A. Bradley so I'm thinking maybe they'll not grab a PG).

Is there much difference between the #14 pick and the #17 pick this year? Is it worth missing the playoffs over that?

Well, someone said they'd be willing to trade both picks for the oppertunity to draft CJ if so, we should miss the playoffs draft CJ with 14th pick, and insure Ty isn't the coach for the next decade as someone else said.

I am working my first mock and have it going like thus

bobcats - mclemore
magic - Noel
suns - shabazz
cavs - porter
pistons - smart

have reasons but that is still early.

I think Bobcats take Noel, and hope for the top pick next year. The Magic's biggest need is pg. If Noel is indeed the first pick, I think magic take Smart.

Jennings and ellis are free agents so they might go PG.

Don't think Jennings wants to be back with the Bucks.

I think Biyombo is a bad combo with anyone on any team. The Bobcats are still looking for a decent big, and there's no reason to think the bobcats won't end next year with the worst record and a chance to land Wiggins next year. Mclemore is a guy with tons of talent that didn't do much to make himself stand out, and I think that a lone will put a bad tast in Jordans mouth.

Two bits I heard last week that are applicable here. My paraphrasing of those comments.

1- National NBA writer on with Spence on 1280: If the Jazz are going to make the playoffs and try to get players through the draft this is a good year to do it because there is really not a big difference between player 5 and player 20 in this draft.

2-Lindsey respnding to Spences question about an unnamed GM saying that this draft is bad: If a person in that position says it, there must be some truth to it, but if there is not a franchise player in this draft, then it is our job (jazz managment) to find the best rotational player or the best back-up in this draft.

I say make the playoffs, too many variables from now to draft day.

Agree with all that.. except I would like to romanticize that if we missed the play off we'd wind up with SVG as coach.
