Following potential 2015 draftees

Tony Jones from the Trib said that he thought Oubre's was the most impressive workout. That's saying something given that there were 100 workouts.

The only thing I remember was that Exum said LA would be ideal for him. He wasn't bagging on other cities.

You look at Russell, and he probably wants to go to NY or LA for marketability.

And he has a 33% chance of going right in between them to Philly. That just sucks.

Would you rather have Myles Turner or Kelly Olynyk and the 16th pick?

Olynyk and the 16 easy, I think the Jazz F/O would be on board too.

I kinda think snagging Terrance Jones from the Rockets might be more feasible, only because it stands to reason they will need to choose between Jones and Montiejunas at somepoint. letting them both hit the restricted market at once seems like a good way to lose one of them before recouping any value. Morey may not give a **** though, its certainly not as risky as declining Chandler Parsons option.

Yet they drafted both Exum and Hood last year, who refused to work out with the Jazz and traded up for Burke the previous year who also didn't work out for the team... The team doesn't care if they want to work out for the team, if they think the player is the best one on the board they will draft him.
Yep. Workouts should be a very, very small part of the evaluation process. When all else fails. . . trust the tape. Workouts and interviews can give insight into their personality and a better idea of mechanical and technical issues in their games, but not really how well they'll play for you in competitive situations. My personal opinion is that workouts should function to drop a guy on your board, but not raise his stock directly.

I'd personally take Turner. Think he's going to be special.

Olynyk never impressed me, and I'm not a huge fan of the guys left to pick from at 16. That's not to say that some of them won't be good. . . I just hate the idea of pushing our pick down this year.

Turner all day long. He is on a Rookie contract and can play a lick of D. Pick #16 is going to be a career backup at best. We currently have a lot of guys with that floor.

Of course I would rather have a spastic colon than Olynyk. Just don't like his game at all. Doesn't fit with what we are doing in Utah. Also, I don't even like looking at him.

Exum didn't come in because he was projected higher than 5, he also didn't work out for anyone team past us as well.

Funny because every other player around us (Oubre, Turner, Looney, Lyles, Dekker, Portis, Looney) worked out for us. Booker maybe refused as well. But the % says Kaminsky is the exception to not wanting to come here. If he was a tier above those guys I wouldn't care and take my chances it would work out. But he is on the same tier, just not worth the trouble of having a possible malcontent like Kanter. We'll see if DL agrees.

Utah was top 5 last year and Exum didn't work out for us, yet you seem to think a single draft spot was a reasonable excuse for not working out for us. Hilarious. Like I said, if Utah passed on Frank, it will be because DL likes someone else better, not because of your silly reasoning.

A. Single. Draft. Spot. Really, that's what passes for a reasonable argument? You guys are reading wayyy too much into things. Utah will absolutely not hesitate to take Frank if they believe he's the BPA.
