So this dude has some pretty insane stats this early for a Freshman.
Favors is a good player, no doubt.
From my perspective, a team with Exum / Hayward / Leonard / Kanter / Gobert would be a better, more versatile team with better distribution of talent than a team with Favors, Kanter and Gobert. Right now, Favors is mostly a pick-and-roll player, though he has a few iso-post moves. The thinking is also that in a year, Gobert should be able to replace much of Favors' production at center. Gobert's PER is only a few points behind Favors'.
I can understand if it's just too soon to make a move with Favors, in part because there are a number of other young players, including Hood, that need to develop and be evaluated.
Favors isn't untradeable. The question is what would be worth trading him for. Of all the Jazz players, Favors could likely net the most in a trade.
Had another insane shooting night yesterday. 5/7 from downtown.
He is now shooting 64% from deep over 4 games on 6.3 shot per game.
I'm on that train hard right now!I want us to do whatever we can to get Winslow. I love him.
@DraftExpress: Good first half at the Barclays. Duke up 36-26. Justise Winslow continues to be Duke's most important player on both ends of the floor.Winslow's shot actually looks pretty dang good. Nice form from the little I've seen. Pretty good at driving into the lane and finishing. Good enough handles for the fastbreak, but not great. Reminds me of Iggy in some ways.
It's early, but he's my favorite wing player so far. No homer.
