Following Potential 2025 Draftees

There are like 5+ tweener/undersized bigs in this draft who are awesome but have concerns fitting into the modern game. Some of them are going to such in the NBA, and we're going to say "of course it didn't work, he doesn't fit in the NBA". Some of them are going to be great and we'll say "of course it was going to work, he's just good at basketball".

If we get the number 2 pick, whos everyone taking Ace or Harper?

Harper. It's harder to find an elite lead guard with his size and scoring than it is to find an athletic wing shooter. You can argue that Ace has a higher ceiling though.

Harper. But Ace has closed the gap in the last 2 weeks (minus today’s mess).

If he keeps shooting the 3 ball at a 40% clip the rest of the way he makes it an interesting discussion. But agree with others who’ve pointed out the difficulty in finding an elite lead guard with good size.

may need to add Richie Saunders to upperclassmen to watch. he's old af (just turned 22), but he's a defense and intangibles guy who also happens to be putting up 18 ppg on 56% FGs and 46% 3pt (on 6 attempts per game) in big12 play.
If Richie Saunders is an actual junior, and not a Mormon missionary junior, he could be an interesting NBA prospect as a undrafted player. Has a really quick release with a high vertical/release point.
Yeah, I mentioned him earlier. I just need to know if he's an actual junior, or a mormon junior before I get too excited for his status as an interesting 2nd/UDFA type.

Coen Carr has improved a lot from year one to year two. Absolute freak athlete with a huge frame. Not a 2025 guy, but someone to keep an eye on

I was watching parts of the game last night and Jase played really well. I'm not really sure how high I would rank him? I need to see more.
Yeah, 6'3 combo guard who doesnt play like a traditional high scoring combo. Weird player, especially coming off the bench. But at some point the production is too loud to ignore.

I know Egor is struggling to score, but I still like his film:

The last two games he has played better. Might be due to the competition, might be due to his teammates also balling out (which might be due to the competition), or he might be figuring things out (my hope).

Could also be that coach Young is improving as well.

Richie saunders has been insane the last two games though.

It's the latter, but curious as to why this matters more than age (both of which can be easily googled)?

He's probably not Sam Merrill, but Merrill had both served a mission and was older, fwiw.
