Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I don't think I've ever seen a worse AST/TOV ratio than Ace. 5 to 22 is insanity lol. Think I'd be content coming away with any of these 6 guys, but Ace is not one of them.

1. Flagg
2. Harper

3. Kasparas

4. Edgecomb
5. Demin
6. Johnson

I think he’ll be mostly a floor-spacer and straight-line driver in the NBA, but he could struggle handling against a switching defense.

Edgecomb is likely to be more of a Suggs/Smart type of player, but I still like him the best outside of the top 3.
I dunno.

If Edgecombe hadn't proved that he can hang with high level international & NBA professionals on a big stage as a teenager, playing games that actually matter and contributing in a big way, I would have more doubts. But he has proved it, and you can't say that about any other top 10 prospect.

IMO it's his most important attribute. It shows that when he's in an environment where everyone knows what they're doing, he can and probably will level up. That will very likely translate in the NBA.

I'm aware of his erratic shooting, less than ideal ballhandling for a probable NBA 1 and all that. I just think he has the "it factor". Tough to explain.

I wouldnt call Olympics games high level international play. He whooped up on Finland (without Lauri mind you), Poland and Lebanon. The only "high level" international players he faced as team was Spain, which was his worst game. So only one team with actual NBA talent?

He was a teenager easily holding his own among pros, and the brand of basketball played in the Olympic qualifiers requires that you know what you're doing out there – unlike college (or, God forbid, high school). That's just important, and much more impressive than what Flagg did in some BS lazy scrimmage where nobody played any defense.

It's a 4 game sample size in which he had the superior talent on his team most times.

And Im not Anti-VJ, I just dont think he's a top 8 guy in the draft.

Obviously a ton of athletic talent there and he plays hard. Could make a big leap at some point, but his lack of size/height doesnt guarantee it.

I think the Jabari Smith comp (which was seen as a diss) is actually extremely generous to Ace because Jabari was a much better shooting prospect. He might be out of the top 10 prospects for me.
