Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Does Tre Johnson's finishing concern anyone?

Only 20% of his total attempts came at the rim, 16.7% of his half court attempts were at the rim, and he only scored at a 46% clip on those attempts
I will admit it is disconcerting but I believe he has the attitude to get better. If he was a finished product yes but I think he is willing to work.

Tre is longer than his comps (Beal, Booker)
Ace is smaller (KD, Rashard Lewis)

VJs comps seem like they depend on if you see him as a primary ball handler.

I want Tre at 5 and either Noah or Fleming at 21

Anybody else notice that Edgecombe actually tries to finish with his left hand when driving left... hell... he even has some left handed floaters. There isn't a ton of craft from what I'm seeing but he does use both his hands on drives.

I think I actually prefer Jase’s finishing more. Extremely left hand dominant, but super crafty and creative to get to his left. Reminds me of Mitchell where he’s great at going right when he really should really be going left lol.

VJ has a long ways to go with his craft around the basket.

Yeah... he's a bit of a brute force/athleticism type at the rim right now. But I do think it's notable that he doesn't avoid using his off-hand... I like this... I think it opens up some additional avenues for improvement,

His first step beating people off the dribble is his biggest weakness though. Can he improve and create advantages for himself in isolation and off the dribble?

It all just depends on who you believe could improve or become something they aren’t currently with the information we have on hand.
