Following Potential 2026 Draftees

so what 2 people? or are there 3 fans?
Lol. If you went to cougarboard and saw how many active posters there are there it would blow your mind. Probably like 100 times more than on jazz fanz.
And utefans.net or whatever web address the ute message board is? lolololololololol.

Kentucky Transfer Portal is insane:

  • Jayden Quaintence (projected lottery pick in 2026)
  • Jaland Lowe (17 PPG as a sophomore, some NBA potential)
  • Kam Williams (6'8 Freshamn from Tulane who averaged 9 ppg on 41% from 3 on 5 attempts per game)
  • Mouhamed Diabate (6'8 athletic Sophomore from Alabama who had 11 BPM
Still in the running for Xavian Lee, Wesley Yates, Lamar Wilkerson, Jason Pierre Jr, and Alvaro Folguerias.

Plus they have 3 top 30 Freshman: Jasper Johnson (17th), Malachi Moreno (23rd), and Acaden Lewis (25th).

all of these guys have to be in the $2-3MM range in terms of NIL. the money they are throwing around is insane.

Yeah, it's crazy how well they have done in the portal and freshman recruiting.

I feel like the NCAA should start making players sign multi-year deals that can only be voided if you go pro or your coach is fired/quits.

That makes a lot of sense. I haven't spent any time thinking about how to fix the situation, but that would be a good idea. The main problem, as I see it, is guys who are switching teams every year, and what you said would address that.

I'm very far from an expert on scouting high school players, so please take this with a grain of salt:

I was more impressed with the 2025 guys at this point last year than I am currently with the 2026 guys.

Are you saying you liked Flagg/Harper/Bailey/Edgecombe more than Peterson/Dybansta/Boozer? Or the latter more than Stokes/McCoy?

Sounds like he was more impressed with the first group than the second group from watching them play pre college.

This, but I warned you not to listen to me because I don't really know what I'm talking about.

I think it's mostly that I'm a little disappointed after hearing so much about how great they are. Peterson is crazy athletic, but he takes and misses a lot. Boozer is very skilled, but he doesn't look like he's quick enough to defend at the NBA level. Dybantsa is great, but I saw him play last year and he looks about the same to me.

Just finished the Nike Hoop summit and Tounde stood out, yet again. He looks like a top 5 guy to me. Dybantsa and Boozer were very good. Acuff looks like he's going to be good. I didn't really know who Mckenney was before this game, but I'll keep an eye on him.

Sarr had a few nice moments. Do we think he did enough to enter the draft?
