Combine highlights with Darius Bazley -- #14 with the green shoes. I think if he played college ball this year, he'd be getting drafted along with Nassir Little and Romeo Langford, if not a couple spots higher. He's a prototypical NBA athlete, in the same long, lean cheetah mold as guys like TMac, Grant Hill and Scottie Pippen. Whether he ever becomes anywhere near as good as those guys (hof), who knows, but he has some of that natural ability. He's quick with the ball, runs the floor well, reacts well on defense and can get his shot off anytime he wants. We need those things in our front court, quite badly.
Picture this guy on the floor with Exum, Mitchell, Gobert and Royce. We'd have good length, athleticism and versatility at every position.
** The dunk on the first play is off of one foot. He tested with a 37" max vertical.
** The hanging scoop layup on the second play he made with his off hand. (He's left handed.) Also off of one foot.
** Nice find at 0:21.
** The guy he runs with from above the FT line and blocks at the rim at 0:26 is Jordan Bone from Tennessee, the fastest player at the Combine.
** The baseline move that he finishes with the reverse lay-in at 0:35 is again with his off-hand.
** Another quick-reaction block while back-pedaling at 0:38.
** Nails a 26' 3-ball over Grant Williams. Nice balance, high release and good arc on the shot.
** Isolates above the 3-pt line and hits floater at 0:42, again with his off hand, draws and-1.
Remember, he's still 18 for another month. He's still early in his development curve.
