On a side note did y'all hear how the Rockets messed with Lin? They put up media (billboards, banners...)with Melo in a Rockets Jersey wearing Lin's number...ouch.

Dude used a low number of possessions on his team, and the possessions he used frequently ended in an assist. Dude is anything but a chucker. Seriously.

I can understand why people don't want Lance because of his attitude, but the dude continued to compete when his team was struggling. I'd rather take on that risk at ~$10mm than sign Gordo for $13mm+. The team needs some physicality/competitiveness, even if it comes with a little crazy. Throw Quin into the fire.

I didn't say he was a chucker but I watched some of the playoffs and there were moments where he completely abandoned team ball. There was a part of the game I watched where he shot the bal 5 times in a row. Twice without passing the ball. I do NOT underestimate his talent but supporters are discounted his immature behavior. He was a second round pick because of his behavioral issues.

Yeah, say what you will about the Jazz organization. I can't see them ever disrespecting a player like that.

Hernandez was totally worth the trouble. Youngest active player in the NFL as a rookie, Pro Bowler that helped lead the team to the Super Bowl in his second season, productive when healthy in his third season (Pats in AFC Championship game). Lance probably isn't going to kill anyone.

Hernandez was rated as one of the top TE coming out of college talent wise but he didn't get drafted until the fourth round. Why? Concerns about his off the field behavior. Bill Polan the GM for the Colts didn't have him on their draft board because they deemed him too big of a risk.

Yea you should ask people around BOston if the embarrassment of having a multiple murder be one of the face's of your franchise was worth it. I can tell you from personal experience that the Patriots wished they had never had Fernandez. My comment had more to do with people who think a coach even a great one like Bill B. can keep a person under control with some magical wand they have. There is a reason why Stephenson isn't getting flooded with offers and it has nothing to do with a lack of talent.

I just went through the play-by-play for every Pacers playoff game. There wasn't a single instance where Lance shot the ball 5 times in a row.

There were 4 instances where Lance was responsible for at least 4 consecutive terminal possessions (possessions ending in a shot, shooting foul or turnover). 2 of these were 4 consecutive possessions, and 2 were 5 consecutive possessions (both had turnovers mixed in...thus no 5 shots in a row). In only one of these 4 instances did Lance score less than 1 point per possession, and overall he scored 19 points on the 18 possessions, drawing 4 shooting fouls in the process. The Pacers averaged about 2 points per 100 possessions less than this during the playoffs (105.6 v. 103.7).

Unfortunately, LP Broadband doesn't let me watch playoff games, so I can't check if he used these possessions without passing. He didn't ever shoot 5 times in a row though, and he was pretty productive when he used 4+ consecutive possessions.
