Game Thread: BREAK THE STREAK - Warriors @ Jazz - Nov 30 - 7 PM MST

You're playing the best team in the NBA (and possibly ever) with the best shooter of all-time, you don't give them a chance to take the last shot, PERIOD. Either you win or lose with the final shot of the game. I still have nightmares of Michael Jordan...don't you?
I agree that ideally you want the last shot. But what we're talking about is a choice between an alley-oop to Burks or Hood's shot. IMO you don't ignore the easy 2, you take what they give you and then play defense. And no, I don't have nightmares about Jordan's shot. I tend to move on.

U can't think this way. Personally... I hate that coaches go for the final second shot. Just so many more chances not to mention chances of scoring goes up. Then u go down and trust the defense. If this is your foundation as a team. Get the points and then make a play on your strongest side of the court. On defense

If Curry gets hurt again, they're done. He's the engine that runs the machine. Jazz should have finished it off last night. They had the moment, but it was too big for them. Someday soon though.

I'm eager to see what the trade deadline brings. If the Jazz can pick up a higher level starting PG with some of the assets at their disposal, they could make some noise heading into the playoffs.

agreed with the second point .. but who ????

On twitter Locke said that the play was for Hayward but after coming off of picks he wasn't open and the play busted. As a result Hood took the 3.

So the play wasn't for Hood according to Locke. Hood just tried, and failed, to salvage it.

Final play needs to have two motion options every time.

That's fine and makes sense but why even inbound to hood? Inbound to Burks and have him look for Hayward, then if Hayward can't get open, Burks (who was hot in the 4th and has been all year) has the ball to take the final shot.

Should have never even touched hoods hands imo

Why were the only options an ally oop to Burks or a hood three?

I like this strategy too.

I don't like this at all in the situation we were in. A miss in our situation all but guarantees the loss with no timeouts. You have to keep the ball out of Currys hands for the win. Go for the last shot and have to make one play instead of two.

Agreed .. should have been your boy Burks driving and drawing a foul or dishing

Untrue. We Damn near got the offensive rebound on hoods miss.

Gobert and favors have a decent chance of getting the offensive rebound over whoever the warriors trot out there.

As for the time left/no timeouts.... We could have shot the ball earlier than we did and we would have then had enough time to get the ball up the court and get another good shot off.

They outrebounded us by ten. And long shots usually make long rebounds.

I still like the strategy. And I still think that rudy and derrick are better rebounders than whatever the warriors trot out there.
Long rebounds are conducive to offensive rebounds btw
