We were -6 in turnovers. You just can't do that against the Dubs. Fixing this, with some adjustments (Quin is a smart guy) and a little bit better hunger, shooting, and defense may net us a win in the series. Maybe two if the stars align.

His +/- was -6 in just 11 minutes but I want to see more Exum. Like 16-20 minutes of him. Enough with Mack. He did some decent things and I get why Quin plays him but we're not winning this series, the difference in them is nominal, Exum has shown enough to get burn, and he's an actual piece for us moving forward (unless we're giving up on the 5th overall pick) while Mack is really just an afterthought. If there's ever a place to test Exum out and measure him, this is it. If he fails, he fails. But it can be an invaluable learning experience and great motivation for him going into the off-season to work his *** off and come in in the summer and fall noticeably improved.

I've said it before, the league has a Problem because what happens in July is more important than what happens in may and June. the season is irrelevant, the first two rounds of the playoffs are at risk of becoming irrelevant too.

Super teams are great for the NBA. It gets casual fans interested and it creates a "bad guy". Either they lose and it's the glorious upset, or they win and get to the finals for a huge clash of super teams between Cleveland. It's a win/win for the NBA. Would I prefer true parity in the NBA? Sure, but that is never going to happen if max contracts are a thing.

I just hate the argument it makes everything else irrelevant. Did you not enjoy this season? Have you not enjoyed the playoffs? Did you not enjoy the careers of Stockton and Malone just because they never won a ring?

i think i disagree with the definition of superteam. I'd more think of that as 3 franchise players or very close to it in their primes, or two current mvp types and some all nba types.

kareem was well past his prime and worthy was a terrific player but not necessarily a franchise player but i'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

parrish i wouldn't class as a franchise type player, and ainge ?? nah
celtics with garnett etc yep
rockets, drexler was on his last legs by then Nope
bulls yeah even tho rodman was not a franchise player
pistons ? lol mahorn, lambeer could hardly be called a great player and dumars not a franchise type not even close to a super team.

so probably 2-3 of those teams i'd class as super teams in the same class as the warriors/cavs/heat kinds of teams everyone's fretting about.

Laimbeer is underrated. He was definitely a great player.

What the NBA should do instead of the bogus All-NBA rule they created to give players drafted by the original team more money: They should have done it if you make the All-NBA team twice in 3 seasons (or something along those lines) then you are eligible to 10% more of the max (or something along those lines). That way you get some differentiation in contract potential between the top 15 or players in the NBA and the top 50. Also make All-NBA teams just the top 15 players that season with no regards to position.

We just got beat. Hayward had a his worst game of the playoffs. Beside Hood going 0-5 from 3pt land he had a decent game with an assist!!!

If you're expecting Hayward to save the day, I'd advise not to hold your breath. This is on Rudy and as Shaq says "the others"..

They're so ready for Hay, he's got no chance. He's out of his depth. Swimming with the sharks. The Warriors feel they have multiple options to neutralize him. Thats why Hayward was extra bright red when Iguodala knocked the ball out of his hands. His game is not un****withable, he's not Michal Jordan, he can be disrupted, tactically, and with players like Andre and KD they're equipped to do it easier than most.

Even ****ing Mo Speights was swiping at Haywards dribble, they're going to continue to attack his dribble and it's going to continue to work. This is how you slow hayward down and it shouldn't really be breaking news to anyone, unless you've deluded yourself by watching him vs non-contender teams..

Pretty condescending for someone who can't see how this super team is different to the ones you mentioned, which obviously prompted the initial post.

gotta keep reminding myself we are playing one of the most talented rosters in NBA history on over a week's worth of rest.

...earlier in this very thread i said that GSW probably has the most talented roster of all time. WTF are you talking about? The entire premise of my post was about counting the instances where a team full of hall of famers (i.e. a super team) dominated everyone else.... which has happened so so many times. get some context man.

On the ******** meter, LeBron's Heatles are about a 3.5 compared to the 10 of KD's Warriors. I'm trying to imagine what kind of competitor would desire a situation where there wasn't much expectation for an increase of blood pressure until the WCF and/or Finals. So, 82 games with very little meaning + two rounds of the playoffs where you get to watch 1 - 3 other all-stars build leads while you rest.

I'm sort of sickly glad to get a first-hand, fan-level feel for how ****ing stupid the Warriors are. I've never actually wished for an injury, but I hope competitive balance has some kind of cosmic karma built into its matrix. And I hope KD himself is its primary victim (but I'd take any of their core). And **** it if none of you like this sentiment.

lol so you wont call parrish, the 9 time all star who finished 4th in MVP voting in 82, who was on that "50 greatest" players list, who helped lead his team to 4 championships, isnt a franchise player... lmao.

mahorn was a third or 4th wheel on that team, and i admitted he wasnt a HOFer, but he was one of the top defensive players in the league for several years and a terrific compliment to the multiple other HOFers on that team.

Your argument is that those teams with 3+ HOFers aren't super teams, yet the cavs with 1 HOF and 2 middling all-stars IS a super team? How am i supposed to take anything you say from this point on seriously?

We looked tired out there. Been playing every other for a while, and this was basically a difficult road trip, going right from Clips to Warriors. It showed.

Well not to burst your bubble, but I'm as good as gone, I don't care to have I told u so convo's. Leaving yas in blissful ignorance, haplessly clutching onto narrative bias, is much more appealing to me. these are my final posts. I'm waiting to drop the lucky GT girl in game 2 and if they win, I'll post her again in the elimination game, (and then hopefully again in game 7) then thats it.. It's time for a new team. These years watching the Jazz have served me great purpose, I'm ready to watch another re-build tho, I like watching a rose grow from concrete, not this penny-pinching veteran-laden win now exercise in futility..

I wish ya's all the luck, you're certainly gonna need it, the window should be open for some time, I say It could've been open longer tho, instead concessions were made to appease Hayward, who's not built to shoulder the job and cap $$$ he's going to receive. I swear that things are worth what people will pay for them, but as a GM u've gotta pay for true underlying value, and thats where this team will hamstring itself.. (unless Hayward and Hill walk and they go young, but even then im gone, the only exception is if those 2 walk and they trade up for De'Aaron Fox, which doesn't make any sense and wont happen.)
