I agree with you there. I think his punishment should have been more private (which I guess was impossible after the Photo came out), and I think his "redemption", if it is such, should also be more private.

So, Hadley's problems didn't start when he decided to break the HC. They started when he was caught. And it was Utah's fault he was caught.

You are reading way too much into that. He is clearly saying Hadley's problems LAST WEEK started because of that. He's not saying Hadley bears no responsibility for his actions. Sheesh. If you could remove your anti-BYU blinders, that would be obvious.

This is such typical BYU behavior. Hadley's problems were because he got caught and Ute fans spit and swear and pour beer on everyone.

Again, the typical Ute fan defense seems to be to call people liars. You're saying that Ute fans did NOT use profanity against BYU players? And that no one spit on the BYU players or mocked the BYU honor code? Personally I'm more inclined to believe the guy that says he witnessed it with his own eyes.

Max Hall told the same lie in the NFL. Yes I fully believe Max Hall is a big fat POS liar. I all my years as a Ute fan I've never once seen a "BEER" in the stadium. 12 Years as a season ticket holder and not one. I've seen Wiskey, Tequila, Vodka and lots of other drinks snuck in but nobody is wasting their time sneaking a freaking beer into the stadium. Let alone on 2 different occasions and then pouring them out. So yes I call them both LIARS.

When I say Max Hall lied, I mean specifically about the beer pouring. I have no doubt that his family was probably treated poorly. I think in his press conference where he said Utes fans were classless that he exaggerated the story and in the moment said they got beer spilled on them "and all sorts of nasty stuff." If you look at the video it's even obvious that he is lying when he says that part. Kind of like you can tell when a kid is exaggerating when he's tattling on someone.

Gordon Monson is a moran. He's always been about him, and about some freakish sort of "shock" journalism. He is constantly trying to take the contrarian road in order to feel like he's cutting edge in his opinions. Most of the time his takes are idiotic and way off base, but he's only looking for a reaction. I trust almost nothing he writes or says, and have stopped reading his crap and listening to the radio if he's on. He tries so hard to be funny when he's not.

Using him to backup up your point is pretty weak imo. I would say the same thing if he wrote something to support a point I back. Just don't like the dude.
