Game Thread: Utah @ BYU, Sat. 9/21 8:15pm MT, ESPN2

They should play all the games on computers. Less players would get hurt and byu would have a chance at winning.

Said the innerwebz tough guy.

Watch out folks, ^this guy here would have been recruited for fantasy football if the utes had a team, and I'm not talking preferred walk on. He talks a mean game.

I'll be in the Harmons parking lot on 114th South and 7th East @ 9 PM if you want to meet an innerwebz tough guy in real life.

No weapons.

You do realize that my recent involvement in this thread was in direct response to this post of yours?

If you feel a need to "keep reminding BYU fans that they lost to their rival for the fourth time in a row and that they don't have another scheduled game to redeem themselves for two more years", then I think it's perfectly fair to keep reminding YOU that the Utes are actually BELOW the Cougars in all of the current rankings.
I love this rivalry. I doubt there's another one anywhere that so effectively puts two different types of people on two different sides of the field. Most rivalries are nothing but random allegiances, but just imagine if you and UGLI swapped teams. It would be a disaster of epic proportions!

This same thing happens every year with BYU. They play good teams and lose and then they play bad teams and win. When they win they start thumping their chest and saying they are better than the U and they wish they could have that game over. I guarantee you that going into the next rivalry game the BYU fans will be bragging as if they are the team that hasn't lost to their rival in almost 7 years. When they lose (hopefully) they'll start in with posts that look just like this one of yours again. It's getting sooooooooooo predictable.

BTW, I'll bet you couldn't have found a single BYU fan who would ask, "Do you really feel that the better team always wins?" back when they were winning.

I wish some how, some way there was a way the U played in a really good conference and could some how play the #5 ranked team in the nation (Stanford) and beat them to show that the U really is good. Also in that conference could play another ranked team say in the low teen range (UCLA) and play them close but lose to them in the last possession of the game and also play another conference game where they lose in OT to a team that has only lost one game all season (OSU).

Then go on the road in what would likely be the 3rd toughest game for another team that is trying to compare itself to the U because they lost to the U, in which was the U's 2nd easiest game (only Weber St was easier) so far this season.

However I'm sure that team trying to compare itself to the U is playing better (wouldn't know however since I haven't seen them play once this season save one game when the U played in RES), as Colton's stats show they look that are playing way better and if they replayed the game now who knows what would happen. But looking at teams played during that stretch would probably be irrelevant much like who actually won the head to head match up.

Seriously though I am not sure how this thread keeps popping up and I'm just responding to what I read after that fact. Also I remember going into that game I didn't think the U was playing well and hearing that the Y was playing well, so the Y is back to playing well so no surprise to me.

Not sure what it means that the Ute fans (Joe B. excluded) have stopped replying with words. Trying to live up to the Ute fan stereotype by finding it too hard to write sentences?

Not a Ute fan

The life of a BYU fan:

Their three best games come in Sept. All summer spent talking up how great they are.

Start out 1-2. Talk about firing their OC/Bronco.

Then the easy teams hit the schedule. All the sudden they rip off 4 wins in a row.

Their QB is a Heisman contender, their WR is the best in the nation, blah, blah, blah. If Utah is at the end of the year, then they talk about how they will beat Utah by 3 TD's and how all of Utah's wins were flukes. If they already lost to Utah, then talk about how Utah is lucky they don't have to play them now, because if they did, BYU would kill them.

Lose to Utah.

Play in some crap bowl game. Beat some crap team.

Repeat.

LOL.
