Gobert rips teammates

I don't think he was out of line at all. I think the guys know Rudy well enough to know his intent. Seems to me he's trying to motivate them and step up as a more vocal leader (which I wish Hayward would do, but then again I'm not in the locker room to see if he does it there). If people neeed to be called out, hopefully they're mature enough to take it and use it constructively. I'm glad someone was willing to say what needed to be said. This last stretch of games, they haven't been playing Jazz ball. I suspect they know that, but hopefully what Rudy said is enough to light a fire.

The way that I see it Hayward doesn't shoot enough and is the one guy on the team that we need to care about his stats. His goal should be 7 points a quarter. It's kinda the biggest thing that this team needs out of him.

I would like to see him take it to the cup a bit more like Lebron or Harden as he's good at finishing in traffic but beyond that I hate to see anybody forcing it when it just isn't there. He's a bit streaky and I'm not even really sure he's our best Iso option currently. He's a nice player, a deserved allstar, glad we have him, still I don't feel like he's fully invested at times.

I think he was talking about Hill, possibly among others. Hill was not playing well or very hard and didn't seem to care about this game. Hill also had this to say.

How much does homecourt advantage in first round mean to Jazz? "It don't matter," said George Hill, who was minus-29 in loss to Clippers.

That's a real head-scratcher. Must have been taken out of context or something.

George Hill on if homecourt matters in the first round: “It doesn’t matter. Wherever we are, we have to win.”

I told you guys two years ago this was Gobert's team.
If he didnt realize that roll then, he is certainly stepping into it now.
