Trannie has the connotation of a male hooker dressed as a female, if I'm not mistaken. I'm pretty sure the word all together has a different intended meaning than transexual/transgender. I guess if you put it in context, calling a transgender/transexual person a trannie would be the social equivalent of calling a female a "whore". And like the term "whore" you don't just want to throw it around willy-nilly, probably want to save that one for a rainy day. Really cuts deep.

Everyone knows that escort is the correct terminology these days.

Oh, and for what it's worth, tranny/trannie shall henceforth be known as the T-word. No more using the complete word in polite society.

I think the best purpose of events like these is to raise awareness about differences in sexuality and to let kids know it's not okay to make fun of people who are non-hetero. I just read an article in the SL Trib about some horrible guy who beat the **** out of a gay man and shoved a ****ing tire iron up the dude's ***, puncturing his liver, and eventually beating him to death.


Let's not do this sort of thing anymore, mmkay? You may not understand LGBTQ lifestyles, but what happens between consenting adults that doesn't hurt anyone else is nunya bidness.
