Projected record of 38-28 and 6th seed going to the Dallas in the 1st round.

Of course spots 6-11 in the West are all within a couple of games.

The calcuation doesn't know about player injuries so the Clipper are probably under valued because of the time Chris Paul has missed.

Still interesting to see us projected in the Playoffs.

He mentions an interesting scenario in the west. I wonder what that could be and if it has to do with the NW Division kicking butt and not even slowing down enough to take names.

Well, the Jazz would be the 7 seed since the Lakers would be bumped up to the 4 seed by virtue of winning their division. That would be a date with the Nuggets.

I like that 10 teams have a better than 60% chance of making the playoffs

He addressed that in an article today.

In the West, conversely, it's a total muddle. With 10 playoff-caliber teams vying for the bottom six spots and a pesky Minnesota squad still hanging around on the fringes, we have virtually no certainty about anything. Ten teams show up as having a better than 60 percent chance of making the postseason, which seems impossible but mathematically is actually perfectly plausible; in simplistic terms, nine teams are divvying up the final seven spots nearly equally, leaving 7/9 of a playoff share for each.

Although you're right that superficially it looks ridiculous.
