I was frustrated I quit a job making six figures to go back to school for degree so more doors would be opened for me - only to find it doesn't work that way. For some naive reason, I thought once I graduated, I would be picking where I worked.
Frustrating? Hell to the yes.
You're so damn dumb, it actually physically hurts.Sorry we cant all be insurance salesman.
More people lose money when they do door to door then make money. Not to mention they don't give you any health benefits which him having a baby is must. Also Archie is a recent college graduate. Maybe he has school loans where a job making less than 30,000 or something wont cut it.
Let's see, while I was unemployed looking for a job ........ (too much to quote)
You obviously have never been in that boat before. When you talk out of your *** it is amazing how far down your throat you can stick your foot.
Like I said, I wasn't pointing at you Mike. I know your situation, and I don't think you're one of the lazy bums that I want to pour boiling urine on. On the contrary, I'm impressed with where you're at at this point of your life/career. Other than the size of your pud, your wife is a lucky girl.Trout, it's nothing to do with being proud.
I have to call BS on this. It doesn't matter where your feet are. If you need money to support your family/yourself/lifestyle/whatever, then you have to get out there and get a freaking job. Who gives a crap if it's "unfair" to the employer? I mean seriously. If you need the money, you won't be doing a half-assed job, so you won't be being unfair anyway. If you ARE doing a terrible job, then you'll get fired. Don't bother getting a job if you're going to get fired for being lazy. As for selling yourself short, I'm not really sure WTF you're talking about. I'm not sure how getting off your *** and working is ever selling yourself short, especially if you're working while you're looking to improve your "other" job/situation.I mean, why take a job when you and your employer know that you'll have one foot in the door and one foot out of the door? It's not fair to them (hiring and retaining is very expensive) and it's not fair to the employee. Why sell yourself short?
THIS is what I'm talking about. You would go flip burgers, and so would I. You do what you have to do. Freeloading idiots like BeanClown, on the other hand, are above that kind of thing. I am bitching about jackholes like him who refuse to go flip burgers because of their pride and over-inflated sense of self-worth.I mean, I actually have been doing odd jobs for the past few months (mostly recreational stuff like reffing, umpiring, site supervising) and I've even had interviews for jobs that I was way too qualified for only to be denied because of what I said previously. I could go flip burgers and trust me I would if my situation required it, but it doesn't. We're not in any debt, we both manage our money very well and we've made some smart choices that will take care of us for a while even if I wasn't able to find a job.
Four hours a day sounds more like it -- and if your financial situation were different, you would've still worked a full time job somewhere and put in your four hours of job hunting. With all that being said, I got the job I interviewed for yesterday and I start on Monday. It's about flipping time cause I worked my *** off for about 4 hours a day applying for jobs and I went to 15 interviews. I finally landed the job in the one interview I didn't actually say "hehepeepeecaca."
Why would someone worry about taking a job you wouldn't like as being unfair to the employer? So what if you have a job while looking for something better? Worried about how the employer feels? Do you really think they care how you feel when they come to you and tell you that instead of a raise this year they're cutting your salary by 5% or laying you off instead? It's everybody for themselves out there.
That's next on my to-do list.I wish more people would just stop being lazy butts and go start a ponzi scheme.
Why would someone worry about taking a job you wouldn't like as being unfair to the employer?
Does the employer worry about "integrity" when an employee shows up for work and is asked to clean out their desk with no notice?Integrity is still important to some?
