Maybe the stagnant Jazz can learn something from a few teams around the league that have actually been attempting to build their team into a contender, even if they end up unsuccessful.

Houston started building when they went after Lin, Harden and got D-12. Not to mention attempting to add Melo and Bosh recently.

Golden State making a strong pitch to get Kevin Love as well as numerous proposals to shift things around.

The Jazz??
We kept Tyrone Corbin around knowing that we were not going to offer him a contract instead of firing him in the season like we should have. We hold one of the highest available salary money out of any team in the league, but have yet to get into the conversation of bringing an elite player to the franchise.
**Not saying that we would have been successful***
But,,, we could have made a pitch to Bosh, James, Deng, Love, hell,,, even Ariza. We could have done something!!! Instead we sit and state that we will offer a max to Hayward??? WTH??? This is our plan to get better??
How long do you need to realize that you suck and changes need to be made??? We are hoping that our drafts will work out, while other teams are adding veterans to help their draft picks out.
Quite frankly I would trade Hayward for a new ball boy. Put him on a team with talent and he's a 6th man at best.

I would agree with the Warriors, but they also have their waste of times which we could feel more I guess, if we were the fans of that team. The Rockets signed already stars. That is roughly rebuilding as the Jazz understands, which is a franchise training the drafted players relatively and trying to keep them and stash some cash space for them. This method, I respect and love more than paying a load to a guy that just cannot get richer enough.

I agree with you to an extent. But when your stashing cash space and winning less than 30 games in a season, I would say make a change, or spend some money.

It'll get better. Maybe not rightaway, but throughout the season, we will see a different Jazz than the last year.

I would think we would have to see a different team compared to last year. They can't get much worse. To all the real Jazz fans out there, answer these question for me with total honesty based off of the last 15 years of managements decisions. (yes I am aware that our staff has changed) Are the Jazz more interested in not loosing the most games, or are they interested in building a championship contender?? If you say championship contender please state the facts that make you say that.

Its tough to say. probably more about being profitable but i do remember that they were big spenders (even going above the luxury tax) with that boozer, d-will, ak, memo team.

Yeah, three months would have made a difference with a bench warmer/jockey.

Who says the Jazz haven't? Being as tight lipped as the organization is, you know they haven't reached out them or their agents? Oh, the last time we were successful?

Carlos Boozer.

The Jazz stated they intend to match any offer. They didn't offer Hayward the Max. Semantics, but it is an important distinction.

You'll get no argument from me, but being in the market that we are; it takes time to build a winner. The Jazz weren't instantly better after drafting Stockton and Malone; drafting Deron and signing Boozer, etc. Hell, even San Antonio took time to build, and most of their core was draft picks. You have to give things time. We have a new coach, a good young core, and a direction. Just let it work out.

As far as Hayward, that's an argument for another 1000 threads.

DL keeps stating that he won't skip steps. Yes, this is maddening that he isn't pushing the gas yet, but if you do it too early, you end up with too many vets and the youngsters don't get enough burn. Be patient my Padawan. You need to believe in DL's plan because it's already started and there is no turning back at this point.
