What's new

Houston in talks with Kyrylo Fesenko.

"Better yet," huh? I guess that you prefer that the Jazz face the Lakers with two thirtysomething backup centers, one of whom doesn't even have two good heels. And the Jazz can scrape up whatever scrub is left.

Interesting, though that this Yahoo rumor posting reiterates that a multiyear offer might have been on the table. I speculate that there was a multiyear offer but that it was at or near the minimum, which made Dan Fegan flush. I'd be surprised if KF camp thinks that he can get more than $2 million * 2, but maybe the Cavs will step up. Dampier hasn't been signed at that level, although his career is well, damp.

Don't get your thong in a twist. Bad choice of words.

I wish we could have afforded Amundson. sigh.

I like Admundson, but were were looking for a bigger player. I think the last 3 years in the playoffs have shown that we need bigger guys to match up with the Lakers that is why it is important to bring Fes back.

If your position is that Fegan isn't involved you're simply wrong.

I haven't positioned myself to believe Fegan isn't involved. I'm sure he is. I'm just not ready to put myself in a position to think that Stu isn't his agent.

To me, from what I understand, Stu is like a car salesman for Fes. He's the one selling the car to him. Fegan is the like the car dealership owner or something. I'm calling Stu the carsalesman cause he's working hand in hand with Fes to get him his new car, however, go4jazz is saying he's not. He's saying the "big boy" dealership owner is Fes's carsalesman. I guess, something like that.

No, the Jazz need BETTER players to match up with the Lakers. Getting big players who can't play just to get bigger won't help against the Lakers. Plus minus be damned.

The analogy is wrong. It works like a law firm, again, because it operates out of a law firm.

Think of it like this: Fegan is the partner, Lash is the associate. Lash does a lot of the grunt work, fields phone calls, etc etc. Fegan is the guy who will ultimately hammer out the terms of deals, give advice on whether or not a specific offer is competitive, and actually give the recommendations to the client. Lash is reporting up as the sensory organs while Fegan makes all the mission-critical decisions.

Your argument is silly if you have any knowledge of how law firms work. I write a lot of letters, briefs, and pleadings. Those, for the most part, all get reviewed and signed by somebody else and filed under their name. Your position is that I am the client's lawyer and not the person who is supervising and signing my work. The reality is that we're both the client's lawyers, that's why clients hire someone who operates in a firm rather than a solo practioner: they get more man-power. Fegan's book of business is too large to operate by himself, so he associates with other agents while retaining the reins. Both Lash AND Fegan are agents operating on Fesenko's behalf.

The margin you're operating in is a pretty micro-distinction. Certainly not worth pissing someone off who's trying to give you good information, someone who might have commented on the Cleveland story for example. Don't ruin it for everyone else.

Ummm, who else is out there that will come here can help against the Lakers. Secondly I think Fes did a much better job defensively than anybody else against their bigs. Particularly watch game 4. We are talking about signing a player for 2 mill or less.

It's really not my argument, Kicky. It's David Locke's. But it clearly looks like Kikcy> go4jazz > David Locke's opinion. It will be the last time I listen to his show, kicky showed me up lawyer style. I've said that Lash is Fes's agent. I don't think that's too far out there, do you? I mean, can you prove to me he's not? I mean, it's not like David Locke knows anything, right?
