Houston in talks with Kyrylo Fesenko.

Matt Harpring Trade Exception.

Luxury Tax

For one million hard to see anyone better out there. Hopefully his summer playing time with the national team will benefit him. Still like to see him signed for at least 2 years. Hate to see him have a breakout year and be worth around 5 million or so (you see how big men get overpaid). Okur is a big question mark and Tomic as well.

Trading Nicolas Batum for crap.

But point made. But **** the Blazers, I mean Rockets.

Not in this case. The Rockets aren't going to offer a ton of money for Fes. If Dampier was their #1 option, then anything they offer Fes would most likely be below that (assuming Dampier goes to Miami).

In this case, letting the market decide Fes' worth is working out in the Jazz' favor. No doubt after a few good games vs. Denver, his agent probably said he could get a 3-4 yr. deal at $3-$4M/per.

With the rights to match, there was no pressure on KOC to panic and give him a huge deal. No one was going to overpay like Portland did for Matthews. Especially not now, not when teams know Utah has the cajones to walk away from a bad contract. Portland went to the well one too many times and now they're stuck with an overpaid backup. Unless someone really, really wants Fes, they're not going to offer him a big deal with the intent of sticking it to us.

maybe his crew is in negotiations with the WB to televise his signing decision (I think we're all on pins and needles)... Or maybe Marlboros were 2 cartons for the price of one in the Ukraine and he wasn't gonna leave til he stocked up. or maybe he's holed up in a luv shak with a couple of supermodels and an illustrated version of the Karma sutra.

More than likely he doesn't care to sign cuz he already has the offer, so he can take some time and look around.
