What's new

How has the virus affected you directly?

What is that? Looks delish.
It's a Dutch Baby, you fill it with warm fruit (either macerated or with jam), looks like he's using jam, then fold it over, flip it and cut it into servings.

This and almond puff pastry was something my mom often made in the morning on various holidays.

As of tomorrow I'll be working 2 days in the office and 2 days a week at home for the next few weeks. We can't shut our front office completely down so the goal is to cut down on in house staff to 5 people a day down from 12. I hate working from home but I'm not complaining if I get to keep working.
Well at least you have a plan in place, seems like they are letting businesses figure this out on their own, not realizing that upper management at some of these places are out of touch old dudes that think this whole thing will just blow over.

I feel like our company has done a decent job.
Gave us some nice hazard pay. Have a nurse taking temps at the door. Put X's on the floor for where to stand for transition meetings. Many people working from home. Changed almost everyone's schedule to stagger when people would be in the locker room or break room so there can be better distancing. Alcohol bottles and hand sanitizer everywhere.
I have been pretty impressed. I work in a lab so I wear latex gloves 90 percent of my shift so that helps too. And my department is tiny.

Hazard pay??? What the **** is that? We got two handfuls of jack **** off our work. Said to the guys when this **** is over they'll likely give us some naff pin and a certificate to thank us for our service. Cant even get paperwork saying were an essential worker, makes it hard for the guys to make sure their kids have access to day care and ****.

Agreed. In the first day or two I thought their response was lacking but they have absolutely done as much as I could expect to continue operating while keeping us safe. If every employer and every retailer took similar measures MANY lives would be saved.

Are they letting you take proper sick days yet without getting fired?

Just got turned away at whole foods with my reusable bag. The mental health issues amongst the tree-hugging community will be large.

Clothes are still mandatory. For now.

I dont think so
If you test positive for covid 19 then yes you can stay home and they provide 80 extra hours of paid leave though
