I don't think he quit at all. No one in this world quits in the NBA and gets 14 rebounds. He seemed shell shocked to me and looking for a way to express his frustration with the refs (from his perspective) and his inability to do what he wants or should. He then lacked assertiveness--almost a form of basketball paralysis.
He's getting shafted by the refs exactly like Millsap always has. This has been the "Utah Jazz Syndrome" since the end of the Stock-Malone era.
The NBA is dominated by offense.
