You got my reasons why I think Hayward will be a star. All you have to offer up is he is just another Miller or Dunleavy, way to bring it. Sounds more the bias opinion that you get from that guy on sports nation on Espn.

Because his game isn't dominant. To be a STAR you have to have a dominant game. He is a spot-up shooter who has the ability to go off the bounce and the IQ to use his strengths to benefit others. He is a glue guy. Hopefully he will turn out to be a really good glue guy (Mike Miller).

I like Hayward as much as the next reasonably intelligent member of Jazzfanz does, but he isn't the 2nd coming of Larry Bird. Also, people want to act like Hayward is a kind of PG stuck in a SF's body. The kid has never averaged over 2 APG in his career. He also isn't that great of rebounder for being 6'8. He only got 4.1 per 36 minutes last year. This guy is going to have to work hard to be as good as Miker Miller was. Let's focus on him becoming a legitimate starter before becoming a star.

Cyrone, you now officially my favorite poster on this website. I only seen common sense and intelligence from you not diluted with homerism... thumbs up!

Because Hayward will be an all-star at some point.

He will never be an all star. He is not better shooter then Hornacek and no better rebounder then Harpring and neither one was all-star. How you expect Hayward to become one is beyond my understanding. He might become a decent role player/starter in NBA but All-Star? Sorry not going to happen.

I can easily see Hayward getting 15 because he scores in several ways. He can drive, curl off screens, spot up, and finish fast breaks. Hayward isn't always able to create his own shot, but he is in no way a one dimensional scorer. Hayward will get his if given the opportunity.

Aside from that he's a pretty savvy defender and seems to be a team player. I wouldn't pencil him in for All-NBA but there's no reason he couldn't make some All-Star games in his career.

Also His rookie shooting #s are substantially better than Hornacec's rookie #s.

I could possibly see Hayward making the All-Star game 1-3 times if there happens to be a down year in wing production while Hayward is in his prime.

So he didn't average over 2 APG in his first and only year. Nice basis for judgement. I personally thought he showed great court awareness and the ability to run the offense ala Odom, and I hope Corbin gives him that chance.

I enjoy how you use the word "never" when were talking about a player who has just finished his first season, and a player who statistically played better than both of they players you mentioned in their respective rookie careers.

Take your absurd Hayward-hate elsewhere, preferably to a forum for the team that AK currently plays for

PS Jeff Hornacek was an All-Star in 1991 you ****ing maroon. And work on your grammar.

For the record, I slotted him at 12-15. I don't feel like this is the season where he will explode, but I can see myself being wrong. Im sort of expecting a small bump statistically for most of our youth, with nothing too exaggerated. Like I don't think Favors will go past 16 PPG. There guys are just sophomores. Im expecting Hayward to have a Wesley Matthews type season at the absolute best.

Oh really? So you trying to teach me grammar and called me maroon??? what a tool....

this is box score from 1991 ALL star game... Hornacek is not there. So that is one false claim. Harpring had better stats then Hayward in his rookie year ( 8.2pts, 4.3reb vs 5.4 and 1.9) - make that two. Who is maroon here:)? ROFL... Must be cold in Deadmonton huh? thats why you are so grumpy?
