Dude has half a season of production in a contract year with Lebron and AD's gravity beside him. I wouldn't put too much hope he has similar production after he inks a contract.
If LAL ends up matching a 4/96 offer for Reaves, that means they pay him ~36/year in 25/26 and 26/27. That's a pretty hefty sum. I think it's debatable how much that's helping them. That said, if we were to throw 4/96 on him, I'd want them to match.
If LAL matches, he'll get 12+12+36+36 (given a 4/96 contract). If they don't match he gets 24*4.
Not sure it matters that much to Reaves. He'll earn just as much money over 4 years anyway (maybe different tax hit, not sure), and it's not like 12M the first couple of years is pocket money.
Also, staying in LA is probably good for business in general.
