What's new

I can't believe...

I think it’s foolish to assume that:
-Exum is the best way we could $9.6 million and/or
-We are “good enough” just because we’ve made a ton of progress

If a team isn’t willing to absorb him with two second-rounders, then it’s probably not worth considering.

I’m mostly moved on, I’m just flabbergasted at how much people value someone that’s done staggering little in five years and is getting seriously paid.

Yes. Because $11.6M in capspace (if you find a suitor for Bradley) is pretty huge. Obviously do this if you have someone in mind that would commit.

We dump Exum and Bradley and sign Marcus Morris, we become favorites to win it all regardless of what happens in the of the free agency world.

But sure, let’s ignore ways to improve the team because exploring ways to improve the team is now considered “hateful.”

I disagree. If you are gonna do this then do it right. Dont stop short. We will need all the fire power we can get.

Everyone acting like a championship is in the bag.
No one is saying the championship is in the bag. People are just excited about the moves that have been made. However, some people are never satisfied and need find something to complain about. What value does Exum have around the league? Not much considering he has had 3 major injuries and not played very much. So why dump him just to dump him because you think the final piece is out there. I think the FO has done a very nice job and know what Exum is capable of doing if he can stay healthy. When they lose faith in him then I am sure they will look to trade him.

If all it took was a couple seconds I think we'd have done it already... We can get a guy like Marcus Morris midseason... if Dante is healthy and shows some progress. At this point because of the price to move him I think it makes the most sense to keep him and hope he can give us something or improve his value to a point that we can move him.

How do you know they haven't already explored that option or the Jazz aren't interest in Morris?

Well said. Exum homers continue to enjoy your fairytale too bad it is costing our team another valuable championship piece.

Well, there’s the narrative is the Jazz don’t win it all. Didn’t even take us until the end of Jazz SL.

If nobody is willing to absorb him for two second rounders, then that should be a huge wake-up call for us.

How do you know they have?

We are fans. We speculate. We talk.

It’s idiotic to claim that fans discussing ways to improve the team is “hateful.”

What this summer has proven is what many fans, like myself, have speculated (correctly), mainly;

1. The FO has been complacent for years.
2. The FO needed to get off their more aggressive. Maybe getting our heads kicked in by Houston again helped convince our FO that the status quo wasn’t cutting it.
3. A little bit of hard work would make great improvements.

Now just because we’ve improved doesn’t mean that we slide back into complacency. Our margin for error is still paper thin. We have no depth at the 4. So why not seek to unload dead weight (Exum and Bradley) and continue the aggressive moves and improve the team further?

We dump Exum and Bradley for Morris, we become favorites to win it all. If that’s considered hating then I got nothing more for ya. But remember, I was right when complaining about our complacency these past few years. I was right about needing to improve the team via unloading Rubio and getting a stretch 4. I, like other “hateful” fans (cuz we demand improvement not complacency) were right before. Why wouldn’t you listen to us when we ask for ways to dump Exum and Bradley?

Lol.

Right?

But the Exum fanboys will have none of it. They still think their boy is going to be better than Kawhi this year. He just needs another year. “When” he’s healthy he’s gonna totally he able to not brick wide open shots, not step out of bounds, and not lose the ball when dribbling in traffic. So stop being a hater
