When i was in high school i started smoking weed and it was very easy to get since drug dealers dont ask for ID or care how old you are.... i was also friends with the people i bought from and one day my dealer had some acid and told me it was fun and asked if i wanted to try it.

I figured what the hell, im already breaking the law and doing drugs anyway (weed) so i took the acid and he was right. It was fun

From there i did lots of acid and weed which led to other hard drugs.


Point is, if weed were legal it would have been harder for me to obtain (like alcohol, which was harder for me to get than pot) and i might have never tried acid, coke, meth, crack, shrooms, opium, etc.

And as an adult that could go to a store to purchase weed, there would be less access and temptation to try a harder drug.

But your point still makes no sense. That's like saying every human likes heroine. Yea if anyone starts taking heroine on a regular basis they will become dependent on it.


The same goes for porn. If I just sat around all day squeezing them out to porn then I would turn into other guys I know. Where they have to keep watching more hardcore stuff to get off and then eventually they can't get it up for their wife because they enjoy rubbin it out to porn more.

That's pretty lame. He's never said that availability causes ALL people to do something. It just makes it more likely. A perfectly reasonable point of view.

Accessibility certainly increases the usage. Also, I would say it is much more accepted. Moral values have changed, whether for better or worse depends on one's POV and own values. But yes, it used to be teens would have a very hard time viewing porn. Now it's pretty easy due to computers and smart phones.

There was some hyperbole there, but it was to prove a point that availability doesn't drive demand.

for example a movie studio could flood the market with Ishtar the Directors Cut DVDs yet the sales there would not move an inch since there is no demand for it.

With weed and porn there is a demand, but increased availability doesn't drive it. If it did people with no interest in it, like you I'm wagering, would start buying it.
