I don't have any issues with this line of thinking.
What is your problem with it?

Sometimes that is how it goes every four years, especially when the incumbent looks bad. Personally, I like Romney. But if Obama had his **** together I'd vote him in anyway just because I like 2-term presidents. No one likes Romney, it's just a question of if you dislike Obama more.
I often wonder what it would be like to live in a blurry, often mesmerizing, alcoholic haze -- but then I read your posts and know. Imagine how much good you could've done for the world with that brain of yours, you know, 10 billion burned up brain cells ago. What a waste.
Diamond > Gomez, btw.
I would agree with this if I could just figure out a way to get by.
Hello, tis I, Sir franklin. I've quit drinking and come to usher in world peace. I will do so much good for the world.
Is the world saved yet? I'm too lazy to check the news feeds.

Dude, you sell insurance. You might as well be a drug dealer.
If you didn't have to, legally, have car insurance, would you buy it?
In all fairness to Mr. Romney, who of any Presidential candidates other than Paul has suggested cutting our military size/defense budget? Certainly not Obama.
What President other than Clinton has closed bases and cut the defense's budget in the last 30 years?
I think the out of control defense spending has more to do with Congress "fighting" for jobs and contractors buying off the government (there is clearly a military industrial "entitlement" that is sucking our resources) than anything else. Shutting down military bases or factories in your state and laying off thousands of workers for the good of the union is basically going to destroy any chances of becoming reelected in even the most anti-government pro private sector states.
Just imagine the uproar even the most "conservative" leaders in Utah would cause if the Hill were ever shut down! A loss of thousands of jobs! Despite what these political leaders say (anti government pro private sector), they love the jobs and (federal) handouts they receive. Hence, why you'll never see Utah volunteer the Hill to be shut down or refuse federal money to build roads. Hatch and co will fight tooth and nail to keep that base operational (all while sucking millions/billions from our coffers and driving up our debt).
ask our federal employees to be productive.
I have a veteran friend in Virginia that does IT Networking as a civilian working on base. He travels one week a month to military bases/embassies to set up networks, troubleshoot, etc. The other 3 weeks he sits in his cubicle playing mine-sweep and surfing the internet. He has virtually no traditional education but did IT training in the military. He is paid over $100,000/year for his enormous contributions to our military/government.

I basically did that for four years at an insurance company, percentage-wise. I'm unconvinced private emplo9yers are more efficient than public.

“Two years ago President Obama was here to tout this building and this business as a symbol of the success of his stimulus,” said Romney, stepping off a bus and onto the public sidewalk in front of the Solyndra buildings just outside Silicon Valley. “Well you can see that it’s a symbol of something very different today.”
“It’s a symbol not of success but of failure,” he said. “It’s also a symbol of a serious conflict of interest. An independent inspector general looked at this investment and concluded that the administration had steered money to friends and family – to campaign contributors. This building, this half a billion dollar taxpayer investment, represents a serious conflict of interest on the part of the president and his team.”
“It’s also a symbol of how the president thinks about free enterprise,” said Romney. “Free enterprise to the president means taking money from the taxpayers and giving it freely to his friends.”
“You look at this building behind us; this is not the kind of building that is built by private enterprise,” he said. “This is the kind of enterprise – the kind of building – that’s built with half a billion dollars of taxpayers money. It’s not just the Taj Mahal of corporate headquarters. you probably also heard that inside there are showers that have LCD displays that tell what the temperatures are of the shower water. and the robots inside actually provide Disney music tunes.”
