What's new

Is anyone else not very excited for the game tomorrow?

I wonder what Mr. Hayward is thinking right now. I know it’s silly to even thing about it, and the fallout of the Fourth of July has ended up better than we could’ve ever dreamed. I’m thrilled.

But Mitchell was already on the Jazz when Hayward left, remember him tweeting Hayward with both of them on 2k? I remember vividly a post I made saying that id be terrified to leave because what if Mitchell is awesome and he left. Welp....

He would be absolutely perfect in this series and this team. Mitchell has the killer instinct alpha dog that Hayward never did. But everyone who always said Hayward would be great on a championship team as long as he wasn’t the number one option, well it ****ing happened! We gave him exactly what he needed he just didn’t know it yet. What if he had been on a five year deal instead of four? I doubt there would be much talk of him leaving this offseason.

No use whining about it, but a moment of reflection while still being so ****ing happy that we have Mitchell is fine.

We got our ‘dude’ who can lead us to the promise land, but it does suck that his perfect running mate bailed before he knew what he had, and now we are a running mate away from being a real contender.

It's interesting to think about, that's for sure. Donovan + Gordon + Rudy would be a hell of a nucleus.

Though, to be fair, the Celtics are going to be freaking loaded. Kyrie + Hayward + Tatum + Brown is an extremely impressive collection of talent.

Part of me wishes Haywood was still here. The other part thinks it's best we didn't tie too much money into a dude who's gonna be #2 at best, more likely #3 on his team.

And yes I'm really excited for the game tomorrow. It's like Christmas Eve every night-before-a-game. Hard to get to sleep. I refresh the board late but nobody's talking.

I mean didn’t Otto Porter get the max? It’s the way it is now. Hayward was a top 20 player and definitely worth whatever his number was gonna be.

For realz. I'm really struggling with my no time to post, just got 30 seconds to lurk lifestyle. C'mon gais

I'm not. I didn't watch game 1. I'm still pissed off about the way they played Portland the last game of the season. I'm watching the Blazers play the Pelicans in Portland right now and it's a joke the Jazz didn't beat the hell out of this team for the division title and homecourt advantage. Maybe I'll snap out of it by tomorrow, but they're going to have to show me a lot more than what they have been since the GS game to get me excited.

I agree. Yeah, we were on a back-to-back, but it was for home court... a litmus test against a team that beat us badly the last time we played. What a let down that we didn't compete.

We've been impressive as hell at times but we didn't show up for some of the biggest games post all-star break.

We need to step it up big time. Donovan can't do it alone. And if we don't beat them comprehensively they have Westbrook and Paul George to take over while we only have Donovan. Close games probably won't end in our favor.

I still think we can win, but we need to blow them out. We have that capability.

I don't know or see enough Jazz stuff to form real solid opinions, but I was sincerely disappointed with the Portland loss. Then I hear on the news that the Jazz need to do something to stop three OKC players, and I say huh? It seems there are some teams we can beat, and some we can't?????

There are usually five players on the opponents' teams, and we always need to do something to stop 5. It's called defense?>?>??

And we have 5 on the floor too, and we need them to shoot straight. well, or pass it around until someone gets a good shot.

The universe is just simple to me.....lol.
