Butler looked so much better tonight than he did with the Stars over the weekend.
Both teams were in a bit of a pickle tonight. Rotations, lineups, shot selection - everything was just off.
Dok just as lazy and has less IQI still think Dok could have outperformed Whiteside tonight. He was so damn lazy on most possessions.
Must be hard to play well when Quin Dahmer has your nuts in a jar.He was great… only saw the second half. Had one eff up on defense I saw and one dumb pass… but looked like he was just playing and not scared.
JB got yanked after the and 1. I think they were supposed to switch everything… but he did stay with the ball handler well and it was a soft screen… but gets yanked. When Hughes lost that rebound out of bounds off the FT the camera panned to Quin and you can just tell he hates Hughes. Felt the same way with Butler too. Those dudes just aren't allowed to make mistakes even if they are the two most offensively talented deep bench guys Utah has.
It must be brutal for those guys to watch Clarkson have some of the most unearned freedom in the NBA.
True but Gay can't go 36. He's too damn old for that. Paschall only had 25 min. Both teams were in a bit of a pickle tonight. Rotations, lineups, shot selection - everything was just off.
Both teams played really hard, and the Jazz just ran up against the best team in clutch situations in a close game.
Hard to ask anything more from them on the 2nd night of a B2B.
Don't worry, Quin will back to his rigid rotations and Butler will be back in the g-league to further his education soon enough.Still not sure how Butler is supposed to learn how to play with good players when he's with the worst team in the G-League but I'm pretty sure he can learn if he isn't forced to play short, random, and terrified minutes.
Despite that, had the second-best +/- on the team.
He should have done this a long time ago. Our younger guys need minutes anyways so he has an excuse if he's too scared to hold them directly accountable. It’s a dig at his normal rotation, but if Quin really wants it to resonate, start benching guys and limiting minutes.
Trust the system. Never doubt the system. What the scrubs were doing was fine, for being off-system. But to really close this out we have to follow the system. Wait, we lost? That's ok, the system is bigger than one game. Following the system it will all level out in 3 or 4 games. The system is life.We are up 95-91 with about ten minutes to play in the 4th and things really go sideways. I would note that three of our rotation guys were on the floor at the time. Probably Quin went to the system.
