Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

Id love to take this wager. 5th or 6th. Have you not noticed how crappy the Jazz have been?

I've noticed we're right outside the playoff teams as bad as our luck has been and that injuries are starting to creep up on the teams in front of us. Look at the standings and see that we're only a few games back of where I said we'd finish. Not really an impossible feat considering we have 2 key players out that we'll be getting back soon.

Jazz have had a relatively weak schedule thus far - and are still not playing well. Have you seen the December schedule?

As for the injured players, it's not like the Jazz were playing great and then started a skid when Rudy went out. Jazz' two biggest wins have been without Gobert. It's really a trade-off, tbh. Rudy's presence exacerbates the Jazz' problems on offense. Rudy missing actually allows the Jazz to have a more rounded line-up. Does that mean I don't value Rudy? No. It just means Lindsey hasn't been able to put the right players around him.

Well, no help from the Wizards or Kings, but a great game for the Jazz + Thunder and Pels lost, which means we're in the 8th spot right now.

today. Suns win is nice, but I don't think the Grizzlies matter much. If we're behind them in April, we might as well tank...

Okay but we're currently in the playoff picture and still only a few games away from 5th. Other teams aren't doing that great either other than the top 3 in the conference. Of course the Jazz are going to take a little while to mesh together and figure out their roles, etc. Add in injuries too and it becomes even harder, and yet, here we are, currently in the playoff picture and a small winning streak away from creeping up the ladder.

Blazers @ Knicks (pretty important one)
Lakers @ Clippers (I think, but somewhat win-win)
Mavs @ Spurs (but probably not a big deal, they'll be better)

Well, Blazers won, but I suppose with Griffin going down, Clippers winning is probably the best we could hope for. Lakers don't own their pick, so they won't be tanking anyway.

If we can't beat Denver who is without Millsap while we are at home in a nationally televised game, we should really consider our realistic goals this year.
